Boohoo Kids Review

I don’t often buy clothes for the children because they frequently receive beautiful clothes from family for Christmas and birthdays. Sometimes though, I do need to pick up something that they need in a hurry. The Boohoo website is perfect for this sort of shopping. Clothes are reasonably priced, delivery is quick and returns are free. Boohoo Girls Floral Print Long Sleeve Swing Dress I love the pattern on this floral dress. It’s quite unusual to have a black floral design for young children but I think it looks really good. The dress is made from polyester which is rather an unforgiving…

HIBS100 Homesense Christmas Party Birmingham

I stepped off the train at Birmingham New Street and fought my way though crowds of tipsy shoppers at the Christmas market. After a brief pause in Starbucks to change into my cripplingly beautiful shoes, I headed to the Lost and Found for the HIBS100 Homesense Christmas party. Not knowing anybody who was going, I arrived alone and asked the barmaid where the party was taking place. “It’s in the private function room behind the bookcase.” The Lost and Found Birmingham I worked in Birmingham for a few years prior to having children so I know quite a few of the bars in town. However…

Vileda Windowmatic Window Vacuum Cleaner Review

When I was asked to review the Vileda Windowmatic Window Vacuum Cleaner, my first thought was that it wouldn’t really get used much in our house. You see the thing is, cleaning the windows just takes such a long time. Glass cleaner, cloths, water, more cloths, streaky windows not much better than when you started. And repeat ad infinitum. Window cleaning made easy Nonetheless, I was persuaded that the Vileda Windowmatic Window Vacuum Cleaner was worth having. That it would transform the way I washed my windows. For me the transformation would be from never washing the windows to washing them at…

About The Vintage Sweetheart I’ve only recently discovered The Vintage Sweetheart but I instantly fell in love with the whole ethos of the company. They produce the most beautiful dresses for little girls and they’re all handmade in the UK. Better still, they donate £2 to a charity in India for…

Thursday Photo #133

Every Thursday I sit down to write this post and I genuinely have no idea what I’ve been doing for the past week. I’ve just had to look in my diary to give me a clue. If only I was organised to write everything in there I’d know. What we’ve been up to this week Anyway, after a little bit of prompting I’ve remembered roughly what we’ve been up to. Last Friday I had a lovely catch up with a friend who I haven’t seen in far too long. We’ve already made arrangements to have lunch next month too, because at…
