Waiting for you

Mum lets play trains or read a book,

I’ve got new crayons, have a look.

I see you’re busy, you’ve things to do,

I’ll sit right here and wait for you.

Let’s play ball or take a walk,

I’ll run around and you can talk.

You’re going out, you’ve things to do,

I’ll stay at home and wait for you.

Daughter dear you have moved on,

My house is lonely since you’ve gone.

I’m keeping busy as you do,

But really I just wait for you.

My darling grandkids have you time,

To come around and check I’m fine?

I know, I once was busy too,

But now I sit and wait for you.

Lovely, and always something to remind ourselves of when we’re with our babies – they’re ours for such a short time really before they’re their own person off doing their own things with no time for us. I couldn’t G+ or tweet this though, something wrong at my end or yours?

Aw thank you, yes you’re absolutely right. I’m not sure what’s happening with the twitter / G+ stuff, it’s working for me. Sorry it victimised you.x

Ah this is beautiful. Difficult to remember we don’t have them for long. And to take time from our busy lives to spend time with the ones we love.
