Brio SmartClean Review and Competition

Since I was a child, I have always been really fussy about looking after my teeth – and more specifically my gums. My mum suffers with gum problems and always worried that I would take after her and have problems too. Whilst regular brushing and a healthy diet are of primary importance in terms of oral hygiene, using a good electric toothbrush can make looking after teeth and gums a lot easier. It is quite widely accepted that the best electric toothbrushes are sonic ones. However, the price point of them can make them inaccessible to many people. Brio have developed…

A tea party for dogs with Harringtons

Our dogs are a huge part of the family. We take them on holiday – last year they came over on the boat with us to the Isle of Wight; they come with us on days out, play with the children and generally get involved with everything that’s going on. So when Harringtons contacted us and asked if we’d like to throw the dogs a party, I thought it was a brilliant idea! This afternoon while the girls were having a nap, there was a knock at the door. Bubbles has a sixth sense for when a delivery is for…

Prezzybox: Review and competition

This week, the girls had a surprise package in the post. They were lucky enough to be asked to review a few products from Prezzybox.com to celebrate the re-launch of their Kid Pundits scheme. Prezzybox is an online gift store that has something for everyone. It’s really easy to search for a particular item if you know what you want, but you also have the alternative option of looking for ideas based on who you’re buying for. Kid Pundits is a section on the Prezzybox website where children review one of their gifts. They tell you a little bit about it,…

Thomas Land: Review and Competition

We were lucky enough to be selected as ambassadors for Drayton Manor Theme Park during their 2015 season. We have been going regularly since Lia was just four months old and it is safe to say that it is the girls’ absolute favourite place. If you are a fan of Drayton Manor or would love to give it a try, keep reading for your chance to win a family pass for a day at Drayton Manor this season. Today, we were invited to the first day of the Thomas & Friends Weekends at Thomas Land within Drayton Manor. These are happening this…

Power a Life: Review and Competition

As a blogger, I am pretty much constantly attached to my mobile phone. Sad though it is, social media is a big part of my life and it’s here to stay. I love my current phone, it does everything I need it to. It takes great photos, has plenty of memory and makes it dead easy to stay in touch with my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts on the move. But there is one thing I can’t stand about it – and that’s the battery life. Actually, I can’t really blame the phone, I think it’s just overuse. I’ve often…

Cottonridge Club hoody: Review & Win!

When I was given the opportunity to review a Cottonridge Club hoody, I jumped at the chance because I am one of those people who believes a hoody is for life, not just for Christmas. When I find an item of clothing that I love, I will wear it constantly until it falls apart. And here’s the thing. Not only do I love my Cottonridge Club hoody, I’m pretty sure it’s never going to fall apart. Cottonridge have been supplying great quality garments to trade since 1992 but they only started selling direct to the customer in November 2015. All their…

Christmas traditions: competition

With this being Libby’s third Christmas, we are starting to develop our own Christmas traditions. I have to admit, some of them are a little bit odd. Despite the children being so young, we have got into the habit of going ice skating every year. It’s great fun for us all and afterwards we eat muffins, drink tea and visit Santa. Perfect. The other thing we have got into the habit of doing is using our handmade advent calendar to bribe the children to behave. I know, I am officially a terrible parent. It has naturally evolved that Libby thinks it…
