Thursday Photo #130

I feel like things are slowly but surely falling into place. We all finally shook off our illness towards the end of last week and we were able to enjoy the last couple of days of half term. Luckily we had some exciting things booked in – The Play’s The Thing on Saturday and Disney On Ice on Sunday.

What we’ve been up to

Libby has been exhausted all week, school is such hard work for her anyway being so little and the illness has just made her even more tired. They are also waking up at the crack of arse every morning since the clocks went back. I’ve never really been bothered either way about the clocks changing but I can safely say that I am now firmly against the idea.

Lia has also been tired this week and has demonstrated her usual degree of self-awareness. She regularly announces to me that she’s grumpy and needs a nap. She also delights in pointing out when somebody else is grumpy – much to Libby’s disgust.

We have had some amazing products arrive for review this week. The girls have had some SmartMax construction toys and SmartGames puzzles. We are all really taken with these and they have replaced the television on numerous occasions this week. My husband is also lucky enough to be reviewing this stunning watch from Jord. I will be publishing a full review tomorrow but it’s safe to say he is delighted with it.

Charity

Occasionally I share information about a charity campaign on my blog. This year, the Poppy Appeal got in touch and asked me to share some information about their campaign. We always buy a poppy and like most people, I always think of those who gave their lives during service many years ago.

This year though, the Royal British Legion are asking us all to remember the modern day veterans who need our help now. Many of them struggle with physical or psychological trauma and the help they receive from the poppy appeal can be invaluable. This video really makes it hit home, please do spare a moment to watch it.

Our Thursday Photo #130

Our Thursday Photo #130 was taken when we were at the RSC on Saturday. I love how engaged the girls were in the whole thing and this photo shows them totally engrossed in listening to the information.Thursday Photo #130Please note, some items featured in this blog post were given to me free of charge for the purpose of a review. All views, opinions and exhausted children are my own.
