Thursday Photo #134

Despite my best efforts, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here. On Saturday we went into our local town for their Christmas fair. The girls saw Farmer Christmas (I know, I should correct them really but it’s cute right??) and went on a little fairground ride. Libby went on a bouncy slide too but Lia couldn’t make it up the steps!Thursday Photo #134 Thursday Photo #134

Getting into the Christmas spirit

Since then, even I’ve had to accept that the festive season is upon us. On Tuesday, Libby went to the Sea Life Centre on a school trip. While she was there, she saw Father Christmas as part of the Sea life Christmas celebrations. She came home buzzing because she’d had a brilliant time and Santa had given her a toy shrimp.

As expected, Lia was a little bit glum about missing out. So I decided that I’d head there with her today. We took the train to Birmingham, went on the big wheel and went around the Sea Life centre. The 4D Polar Express film was brilliant and even Lia was a bit excited by Santa’s grotto, although she didn’t actually want to speak to him. I’ll be reviewing it in full over the next few days.Thursday Photo #134 Thursday Photo #134After the Sea Life Centre, Lia and I had some lunch and walked back through the Christmas market to Grand Central shopping centre for a bit of Christmas shopping. More about that over the coming days, but I’ve got to a point where I’ve bought a good proportion of my Christmas gifts. I’ve also soaked the fruit ready to make my Christmas cake and it’s only the 1st December.

This has NEVER happened to me before. I’m more ready for Christmas than ever! In fairness the beautiful winter weather is helping. I’m not sure about a white Christmas but we’re certainly having plenty of frosty days at the moment and I’m rather enjoying it.Thursday Photo #134

Our Thursday Photo #134

Our Thursday Photo #134 was taken on a little ride at the Christmas fair in our local town. The girls had such a lovely time and I really enjoyed having both of them for the morning. When we go to things like this, it reminds me how lucky they are to have a sibling close in age to share their childhood with.Thursday Photo #134Please note, we are ambassadors for the Sea Life Centre and I was invited to Grand Central to do a Christmas shopping challenge. I will be reviewing both attractions in full and was not asked to include them in this post.
