What is Wagglepets? Review & Discount

You may have noticed from my guilty dogs blog post and the dancing dog at the side of my page that I am an ambassador for Wagglepets. If you decide to sign up too, you can have 50% off your first box with discount code NATALIE50.

So, what is Wagglepets?

Wagglepets is a subscription service for dogs that provides literally everything they need.  When I was contacted and offered the opportunity to become an ambassador for the brand, it literally couldn’t have come at a better time.

Things have been really, really tough here lately. My husband still can’t walk so the pressure on me regarding the children and the home is immense. Being freelance, I can’t drop any working hours either.

Walking the dogs every day is essential. Buying insurance, food, chews, treats, toys and poo bags separately each month was just too much. So Wagglepets have taken all the rubbish parts of having dogs off my hands.

Every month, a bag of good quality food specially formulated by the RSPCA is delivered for each dog. There is enough food there to keep them going all month.

They also send me a box of things that the dogs want and need. This was our box last month. We received one of these for each dog.

In the first box, we recieved a brilliant activity tracker. This goes on the dog’s collar and tells you how much exercise and rest they are getting. It measures play time as well as walking. This is ideal for Bubbles who uses up a huge amount of energy playing on the decking as well as her daily walking and running.

Now that we have the activity tracker, in subsequent months there will be other useful items in the box instead such as flea and tick prevention treatments or toys.

The dogs are insured through More Than for medical emergencies and third party cover. They are covered for travelling within the UK and abroad. There is even a 24 hour vet advice line on hand to help with any queries.

And they have sent an elf to follow me around on our walks and pick up the poo for me*.

The cost of the Wagglepets monthly subscription depends on the size and type of your dog. Pluto classes as a large dog, which is charged at £90. Bubbles is medium sized so the monthly cost of her Wagglepets subscription is £75.

A tiny dog would cost £50 per month, a small dog is £60 and a giant dog is £100. Here is a helpful size guide. Medium on the left, large on the right.

If you’re unsure as to how much you are currently spending each month on your dogs, Wagglepets have a pet calculator on their site so you can check.

We were already buying good quality food for the dogs. I’d estimate this was probably costing us about £50 per month per dog.

We were paying nearly £40 per month in insurance for Pluto and £12 per month for Bubbles. We were regularly buying treats for training Bubbles and chews in a (failed) attempt to stop her from chewing our belongings.

The ease of having everything delivered to the door instead of having to go out and buy it every time we run out is absolutely priceless.

If you like the sound of Wagglepets, feel free to make use of the discount code NATALIE50 to get your first box half price.

Please note, I am a Wagglepets Ambassador, so we are currently trialling Wagglepets free of charge so that I can tell you all about it. All views, opinions, dogs and sob stories are my own.

*Except for this, this was a lie. There is no Elf. Maybe next month.

This looks fab. I’ve seen lots of dog subscription boxes around recently! Archie our dog has skin issues and is on certain food so I just don’t think this would work out for us but brilliant none the less! 🙂

This is a great idea to have everything is one place. It’s so important to have pet insurance as if the worst should happen, vet bills can be ridiculous.
