Konfidence swim jackets at Alton Towers waterpark

We’ve been huge fans of Konfidence since discovering them a few years ago. Their products fit perfectly with our ethos as a family, so we are delighted to be Konfidence Swimologists for 2017. We all love swimming, and if possible we love to swim outdoors in a natural setting.

Loch Leven & Loch of the Lowes

Konfidence make wetsuits that are perfect for the girls when we’re swimming outdoors. Their toys and swim jackets are ideal for swimming both indoors and outdoors. And we’ve now discovered that they’re ideal for waterparks too!

The Konfidence swim jacket

The girls have had swim jackets since last summer. Whenever we’re on a boat or swimming outdoors, the swim jackets come along with us. For Libby, buoyancy aids are not really necessary now. She’s a brilliant swimmer and can manage a good couple of lengths independently.

However as you can imagine, a little swimming ability can be a dangerous thing in a place like a waterpark. Both girls are so confident in the water that they have a tendency to wander off. We are always keeping a close eye on them, but for my own peace of mind I’d rather they were both in buoyancy aids.

The Konfidence swim jacket is everything I look for in a buoyancy aid. It allows the girls to swim perfectly unrestricted, with both their arms and legs free. Their body position in the water is good with it on and they can swim along happily. They and I are both happy that they’re safe in the water.

Other Konfidence products

As well as the swim jackets, we are huge fans of the other Konfidence products. I will post separately about their wetsuits, but you can see from our trip to Loch Leven that they empower the children to get in somewhat chilly water!

Konfidence also make a neoprene changing mat. We have two now and they’re not just for changing babies on. We often chuck them in a bag for the beach or pool. It’s great to have something clean and dry to sit or stand on when everything else is sandy.

Our favourites though are the toys. Libby loves going to the bottom of the pool to fetch a dive stick, whereas Lia favours the little floating toys that light up. And as a family, we all love the neoprene balls. These are fine to take in swimming pools as they are so soft and light. In the past, my husband and I have both played water polo. I’ve started back recently and these neoprene balls are helping us to train up the next generation of water polo players.

Our trip to Alton Towers Resort and Waterpark

We have had an amazing weekend at the Alton Towers resort, enjoying the theme park and waterpark and staying in the Cbeebies hotel. You can check out the fun we had and see the girls enjoying their Konfidence products in our little video below.

Please note, Konfidence very kindly covered the cost of our stay at Alton Towers resort, theme park and waterpark to allow us to test out our Konfidence equipment as official swimologists.

Oh wow, this water park looks amazing! I had no idea there even was one at Alton Towers. The jackets are a great idea and the kids certainly look like they don’t mind wearing them x

I love the look of all the Konfidence products, the jackets would be perfect for kids and give them that little bit more confidence in the water. We definitely need to get some wetsuits for the boys for going to Coll and Tiree soon. Love the video, it looks amazing! 🙂 x

The jackets are brilliant and are a requirement in Holland in the Tikkibad. I had no idea that they did wetsuits too – that is pretty much where we are at currently as they are loving surfing in Cornwall and just generally being in outside waterparks a long time.

That looks like an amazing waterpark. I love the girls’ swim jackets, especially as their arms are unrestricted in them 🙂

I know what you mean about children wandering off if they can swim a little bit. It’s nerve-wracking! Sounds as though the jackets really help everyone relax. Alton Towers waterpark sounds great, too. We really must go some time. x

Oh you definitely should, you’d love it!

Wow. These sound amazing! This is one of my biggest worries. I used to be a strong swimmer and now, obviously, am a weaker one and I fear taking the boys with a quick response action needed. These would help so much with this.

This looks great! We’re currently making a list of places to visit over the school holidays – hoping to get a few free places too, haha.

We have Konfidence jackets, we took them on holiday last year for the first time and they gave me such peace of mind with the girls around the pool. I really want to take the girls to splash landing, I love it there x

Oh the Konfidence jackets are a godsend aren’t they? Splash landings is great fun.x
