Brio SmartClean Review and Competition

Since I was a child, I have always been really fussy about looking after my teeth – and more specifically my gums. My mum suffers with gum problems and always worried that I would take after her and have problems too. Whilst regular brushing and a healthy diet are of primary importance in terms of oral hygiene, using a good electric toothbrush can make looking after teeth and gums a lot easier. It is quite widely accepted that the best electric toothbrushes are sonic ones. Thursday Photo #101

I finally feel like things are calming down a bit here. Everything is still chaos, I still have tidying up, paperwork and gardening that should have been done months ago, but I’m slowly starting to catch up. Or at least not get any further behind. In my humble opinion, voting with our wallets is one of the most important things consumers can do to change the world for the better. As a parent, coffee is an essential part of my diet. I can’t really function without it, but I’m also a bit of a coffee snob. It’s got to be good, strong, black coffee from a coffee machine or a cafetiere for me. I love a café that serves good coffee too. UK coffee week brings…

10 ways to build children’s water confidence

Water confidence activities and water confidence games with the children have become an integral part of our week. Swimming has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I swam competitively for our local club. The training regime was brutal, we’d often be in the water by 6.30 am to fit in an hour and a half before school, as well as swimming again in the evenings and at weekends. But these days, swimming is more about the children than me. I get in once or twice a month on my own,…
