TomTom Touch Fitness Tracker – Review

A few months ago, I reviewed the TomTom Spark Cardio sports watch. I absolutely loved all the functionality of the watch and have been using it ever since. The only thing I was a little unsure of was the size of Spark Cardio. It’s a great watch with incredible functionality, but it looks a bit bulky on my arm. So I was extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to review one of TomTom’s latest gadgets, the TomTom Touch fitness tracker. Thursday Photo #127

This afternoon Libby came home from school and announced that she would be going to the National Sea Life Centre Birmingham next month on her first ever school trip. A trip to the National Sea Life Centre This seems like such a big milestone, the first time she’ll be going away on a coach. We might even go there ourselves before her trip, there’s so much going on I’d hate Lia to…

To my daughter’s school – what I’d like you to teach her

I’ve been reading a lot lately about the foundations of different education systems. In Finland, formal education doesn’t start until the age of seven. Prior to that children are in daycare, where they learn entirely through play. In Japan, they learn manners and life skills before embarking on formal education. Few schools hire cleaners. Instead the children clean the school themselves to teach them to respect their environment. I don’t necessarily agree with all the principles of any particular education system. It’s all about balance and finding the right fit for the child. But these are the things I’d like…

The Book of Everyone – Review & Win!

We all know at least one person who is difficult to buy for. Even the usual default gifts are out. Wine? They don’t drink. Chocolate? They’re on a diet. Gift vouchers? They lose them. So what CAN you get for people like that? Introducing the Book of Everyone If there’s one thing people are interested in it’s themselves. It doesn’t matter who they are, tell them an interesting fact about them they didn’t know and you’ve got them hooked. So a whole book about them and you’re onto a winner. Now for me, the usual ungrateful recipient of my misplaced…
