5 Tips for watching Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment

When Mickey and Minnie came onto the ice to introduce Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment, the excitement was palpable. The introduction had told the audience to sing, dance and enjoy it. And that’s exactly what we did. Here are our five top tips for a brilliant evening at Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment. 1. Beware of the traffic This was our first mistake. Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment very kindly invited us to a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse before the show. So, we set off straight from school in plenty of time. But the…

What an incredibly busy week. But all worthwhile because we have finally bought a camper van. Let the adventures commence. Introducing William Shakespeare Back in 2011, my husband and I hired a camper van in New Zealand. We had it for a month and became quite attached to it. So much so that when we came home, we decided to buy one. The only problem was, it was rubbish. Within 12 months, Libby had come along and we needed an extra seat in the camper van. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth spending the money on it, so it ended up being…

The strange but true story of the sausage giraffe

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the amazing unicorn toy that was created from Lia’s drawing. Of course, Libby wanted some of the action too, so she designed her own dream pet. Libby is a loud, gregarious character with a vivid imagination and a wicked sense of humour. Her dream pet was never going to be something as normal and reasonable as a unicorn. Instead, she designed something to reflect her character and personality. Introducing the sausage giraffe After a few attempts at drawing her dream pet, Libby eventually came up with the sausage giraffe. She decided that if…

Influencer marketing when moral lines are blurred

This is a blog post that has been rolling around my mind for some time now, but I’ve never felt comfortable writing it. This has been the first of a few incredibly busy weeks here. Life does seem to be full of contrasts. For months, I can work exclusively from home and speak to nobody. Then I end up with a month or so of travelling quite a bit around the country and being uncharacteristically sociable. The eye patch It had been noted a couple of times at the eye hospital that Libby’s left eye was weaker than the right. This was corrected by her glasses. Sadly, the last time we went, the sight in her left eye had deteriorated. I think I’d…

I can’t believe how rapidly Easter is approaching. I think it’s time to get planning what to do during the school holidays. So, here’s my list of events that are on in the West Midlands. Fingers crossed they are all taking place in glorious sunshine! 1. Alton Towers, Staffordshire Kids go free on short breaks at Alton Towers this Easter. Over at the theme park, there’s a new ride to try out. Wicker Man combines a wooden coaster with an all-new immersive experience. The route is lit by burning embers and as the train whizzes towards the six-storey high Wicker…

A garden project

For years, I’ve been hoping to sort our garden out and make it more useful. We’ve got a lovely decking but no back lawn. The front lawn isn’t fenced off so the girls can’t use it and I’m desperate to get a swing, slide and climbing frame out there before they get too old to want to use them. Getting started I wrote yesterday about how I wanted the girls to be able to be in the garden more next Winter. Whilst most of the things I want to do are expensive, that doesn’t stop me from getting started on…
