Cottonridge Club hoody: Review & Win!

When I was given the opportunity to review a Cottonridge Club hoody, I jumped at the chance because I am one of those people who believes a hoody is for life, not just for Christmas. When I find an item of clothing that I love, I will wear it constantly until it falls apart. And here’s the thing. Not only do I love my Cottonridge Club hoody, I’m pretty sure it’s never going to fall apart. Cottonridge have been supplying great quality garments to trade since 1992 but they only started selling direct to the customer in November 2015. All their…

Christmas traditions: competition

With this being Libby’s third Christmas, we are starting to develop our own Christmas traditions. I have to admit, some of them are a little bit odd. Despite the children being so young, we have got into the habit of going ice skating every year. It’s great fun for us all and afterwards we eat muffins, drink tea and visit Santa. Perfect. Being organised: Black Friday deals

Every summer, I decide around August time that this year, I’ll be ready for Christmas. By the time November comes around, I have usually realised that my decision was absolute nonsense. If I’m honest, this year is worse than ever. Last Christmas, I finished making my Christmas cakes sometime around midnight on Christmas Eve. I didn’t. Until the end of August when we were…

Memories of 2014, amazing giveaway!

I was lucky enough to be asked to review a book specially made for us by Love2read. When I had the opportunity to do the review, I realised that Libby would enjoy reading a book about her, but what happened next really surprised me. So let’s start from the beginning. The idea of the Love2read books is that you log onto their very simple website and upload your own photos, accompanied by a few words per page of your choosing. Last week was hectic to say the least for me, and I managed to create my book in about 10…

Doddle for Dogs Review and Giveaway!

A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to review the Doddle for Dogs, a dog collar with an integrated lead. I thought this sounded quite convenient, so I said I’d give it a go. I decided to use it on Soxa, because being a Lurcher, Pluto can occasionally slip out of a collar so he tends to be better off with a slip lead. In recent years, Soxa has aged quite quickly. She is fourteen years old and has had two strokes, In dogs, a stroke is something to do with the ears, so I’m told. This has…
