Pluto’s special day

You’ve probably read my sorry tale of woe about being a rescue dog. My life before I was recruited into team Plutonium Sox wasn’t much fun at all and I don’t like to talk about it.  These days, I have a great life. The only thing I’ve never had though, is a birthday. Mainly because nobody really knows when it is, including me.  I’ve never really minded, but I see all the fun people have on their birthdays and I do get a little bit jealous. Are you sitting comfortably…

I am sad to have to share with you a sorry tale of woe. It is a story of sorrow, compassion, envy and betrayal. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin.  Once upon a time, there was a dog. #AdoptDontShop

If you are on twitter or indeed any other social media network, you will have heard of the #AdoptDontShop hashtag. I think most people are aware that this refers to the ideal of adopting a shelter animal rather than buying a puppy. The benefit to the dogs of doing so is threefold. Firstly, you won’t be supporting puppy farming. Secondly, you will be offering a loving home to an unwanted, abandoned pet. And thirdly, you will free up a rescue space for another dog that would otherwise have been put to sleep if a rescue space hadn’t become available. It…
