I was sent these fabulous back to school items by prezzybox for the purpose of an honest review and to allow me to host the competition. All views, opinions, images and soon-to-be schoolgirls are my own.
Can you believe that this little cutie with the infectious giggle and her shoes on the wrong feet starts school next week? Neither can I. But that time is upon us and it’s time to start getting ready. When prezzybox got in touch about working with us on a back to school project, I was quite smug. Nope, there was nothing I needed thank you very much. Uniform – check. Shoes – check. Bag – check. Oh but wait! I had a quick look on the prezzybox website and realised that I didn’t have everything at all.
You see the problem with being a first-time school mum is that I’d totally underestimated what I needed. Poor Libby was going to be off to school with no pencil case and no labels in her clothes. I can only imagine the carnage unlabelled uniform would have caused. And of course, I had to get her a little something to keep to remember her first day at school. The pencil case I chose not only has her name on it, but it even comes full of pencils and each one has her name on it. There is also a ruler and a pencil sharpener in the case – everything she could possibly need for her first day of school. And it seems to me that it’s now notably more likely that they will all last beyond her first day without getting lost or acquired!
When it comes to name labels, I have to admit I’m not amazing at sewing. I can get by and I could certainly sew a few name labels in, but not having to seems like a much easier option! So these iron-on name labels are perfect. Plus what little girl doesn’t want a fairy on the inside of her school uniform? The final thing I chose was a little memento for Libby to remember her first day of school. We will of course take the obligatory photo, but I loved the idea of getting her a little gift. I’m so proud of the way Libby takes everything in her stride. She starts school as a mature, well-rounded and happy little girl and a little gift like this is a great opportunity to show her how proud we are of her.
The case can be engraved with any text of your choice within the character limits, so it doesn’t have to be a back to school gift. The beautiful pen and pencil are really practical, particularly for older children who are doing more technical drawings. We’re keeping Libby’s for her to use when she’s a bit older.
