I think that my lack of time at the moment is making me really appreciate the times when I do manage to get out into the sunshine.
This weekend has been incredibly busy with work and I have loads on for the whole week. Unfortunately I had to cancel my long run yesterday afternoon due to time constraints, but we’d had a walk planned for weeks so I found the time to go.
I was delighted that I did, it was such a beautiful day. Being out on the hills with people who aren’t local to the area really brought home to us how lucky we are to live here.
We walked all morning, had a lovely pub lunch and then headed up to the top of the Worcestershire beacon to enjoy the view.
When we got back from our walk, we headed out onto the decking for a coffee. It’s great to be able to get outside, we’ve definitely spent too much time cooped up inside this year.
I am so inspired that the winter sunshine that I think it’s time for a winter beach walk. Much as I’d love to go tomorrow, I think I’m going to be thwarted by the amount of work I’ve got on.
It’s on my list of things to do though, I’m hoping next week will be quieter so we can head to the coast.
Whilst we trekked around the Worcester countryside (and associated pubs), Jamer clearly had some adventures on her own because she was rather tired this evening.
Yes, that is just a yawn, much as she would like you to think that she’s a fierce monster, she’s just a soggy old cloth cat – do you see the resemblance?
How have you made the most of the winter sunshine this weekend?
