Win Brunch with Pom Wonderful

Yesterday was one of the best mornings I’ve had in a long time. As usual I was woken up unnecessarily early. Instead of attempting to snooze with two children bouncing on my head and CBeebies blaring in my ear, I got up and went for a run. It was a beautiful day and the views were quite spectacular.

After my run, top chef Paul Fielding from La Belle Assiette popped over to cook us brunch. On the menu were fresh and smoked salmon for the meat eaters (not me), scrambled egg, toasted muffins, garlic mushrooms and tomatoes and baked beans. This was followed by a pomegranate and raspberry fruit platter and it was all served with a delicious glass of Pom Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice.

I never would have thought to hire a chef to cook for us at home, but it’s such a brilliant idea. It was the first time in a long time I’ve just sat down to eat brunch without the hassle of cooking. The food was incredible and above restaurant quality. And I didn’t have to worry about the girls disturbing anybody while we were eating, because we were in the comfort of our own home. The weather even allowed us to eat outside – perfect. Pom Wonderful Brunch

Pom Wonderful

I’ve been trying to be a bit more healthy recently. I’d got into the routine of doing very little exercise and drinking mainly caffeinated drinks during the day and often having alcohol in the evenings. Over the past few  months I’ve started running in the morning. This makes me feel a bit more awake and means I exercise before I get too busy doing other things.

The problem with this is that I often run out of time to eat. I might end up grabbing a cup of tea either before or after the school run, or snacking on something quick. But after a run, I really need to be fuelling properly with something that will help me to recover. That’s where Pom Wonderful comes in.

Pom Wonderful BrunchBy swapping my morning cuppa for a glass of Pom Wonderful, I’m getting an instant health kick. It contains polyphenol antioxidants that protect against free radicals. Free radicals are toxins that build up in our bodies over time. Eventually, they can be damaging but the polyphenol antioxidants keep them in check.

It also contains vitamins C and K, fibre, potassium, foliate, copper, iron and calcium. This little lot can prevent all sorts of nasties, including iron-deficiency anaemia, high blood pressure and heart disease. It’s also great for strengthening bones and lowering cholesterol among other benefits.

And what’s more, it’s quicker and easier than a cup of tea. I’ve worked with Pom Wonderful before and already loved it. It has a refreshingly sharp taste, not too sweet like many juices. It was the perfect accompaniment to our fabulous brunch. Pom Wonderful Brunch
