How to use Pinterest to promote your blog

I’ve recently been trying to get my head around using Pinterest to promote my blog. It’s an absolute minefield though and quite frankly, internet searches just confused me even more. Luckily, I’m in the fortunate position to have a good friend who is both a professional photographer and a Pinterest guru. Melanie Chadd is a photographer based in Perthshire, Scotland. Up until recently she was local to me in Herefordshire and over the years she has taken some of my favourite photos of my family including our pets. She has very kindly agreed to write a guest post for me about…

Making holiday memories

I often write about my crazy holidays back in the good old days before having children. So when I was asked to share a post about childhood holiday memories, I thought it would be a doddle. Drayton Manor War of the Worlds Fireworks

During the past 12 months, we have been regular visitors to Drayton Manor. The girls are always excited to go, but Libby has been looking forward to their fireworks display for months. Our Thursday Photo #77

Things are slowly starting to get a little bit better around here. I mistakenly thought that I’d have a bit more time once my husband came home from hospital. That hasn’t really been the case but with half term thrown into the mix I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. We’ve had one of those weeks where we just haven’t done much. We didn’t have a car for two days because it was in the garage. We ended up spending a lot of time at home making a mess and not getting much done. We did manage to get involved in…

Halloween ideas for the whole family

I’ve never been one for celebrating Halloween. My parents weren’t really into it so I never went trick or treating as a child. But last year, Libby went over to see family to do trick or treat. She had a witches costume and of course, she also took with her what every witch needs. A lion. And despite myself, I enjoyed it almost as much as Libby did. So this year, we’ll be making a bit more effort. My husband will be at home with us, so we thought it would be a good idea to do a few things…
