Our Thursday Photo #84

This year has been the first time I’ve really realised how busy we’re going to be as the children get older. I’ve always been keen to encourage the girls to get involved with any interests and activities that appeal to them. Whether that be team sports like rugby, netball or water polo or other pastimes like playing musical instruments, running, dancing, drama or underwater basket weaving if that’s what they’re into. I knew this would mean that things were busy but I didn’t anticipate it starting quite so soon. Last weekend, Libby was in three shows with her drama group.…

Cottonridge Club hoody: Review & Win!

When I was given the opportunity to review a Cottonridge Club hoody, I jumped at the chance because I am one of those people who believes a hoody is for life, not just for Christmas. I’ve sat down to write this post about what we’ve all been up to over the past week and I genuinely have no idea. I’ve reached that extra special kind of tired the likes of which I haven’t seen for a long time. Quite a while ago, I wrote about how my husband thought I was constantly battling an overwhelming urge to do nothing. And now, all these months later and fully aware that I am breaking the habit of a lifetime, I agree with him. But it’s not an urge to do nothing for an extended period of time…

Tomorrow I’ll be a better mum

To my beautiful girls, You are the last thing I think about at night when I try to get some sleep. I think about all the times that day when I’ve raised my voice to you. All the times I’ve had to work when you wanted me to play. I think about how quickly you’re growing up, how much you are changing. And about the things I miss when I’m not with you. I remember the times when you’ve been trying to get my attention whilst I’ve been talking or doing something. And the times you’ve asked to paint, bake…
