Our Thursday Photo #40

Ah 40 weeks. I knew there was something that rang a bell about that number. Apparently it’s how long a pregnancy is supposed to last. Not so for me, I was induced both times. So I should be able to tell you that Lia has now been out as long as she was in. But not just yet, give me another couple of weeks. But I’m not bitter.  So, Lia’s 40th week could only possibly be classed as busy. I’ve had quite a bit of work on for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve had so much on that…

The problem with being the baby…

The problem with being the baby when there is a toddler in the house is that nobody has time for you. The first baby is spoiled and doted on from the day they are born. They have the love and undivided attention of both parents and of family and friends.  And then along comes baby number two. Our Thursday Photo #38

Libby has been busy making herself the centre of attention this week. At a time when I hear on the news that children are no longer learning to speak properly because of their reliance on iPads and computers, Libby is proving them all wrong.  This evening, I put Lia to bed and went to see Libby. The best birthday present ever!

This morning, we headed to the singing group at the library that the girls go to. By the time we’d finished that and picked up a bit of shopping before heading home, our postman had been and gone.  I have to say, our postman is excellent. He never just takes our package back to the post office, he always leaves it somewhere safe or with a neighbour and today was no exception.  I wasn’t expecting a package, so I was a little confused when Libby started scrabbling around under our trailer tent when we got home. I was even more…

Our Thursday Photo #37

This week, we have been getting used to the new dynamic of having two mobile children in the house. It’s just over a week since Lia started crawling now, and it really does make a big difference.  I have to be much more careful when I nip out of the room. Lia doesn’t seem to be particularly destructive, but she has a strange habit of wanting to be in things.  So far this week, I’ve found her under two tables, a piano, three chairs, a talking dog and her sister. This afternoon I found her sat on the shelf with…
