The highs and lows of working from home

This morning was Libby’s nursery morning. She just goes once a week because we are lucky enough to have one of the best nurseries in the country nearby so we decided to make the most of it. Our Thursday Photo #35

I’ve just sat down to write this post and looked back at last week’s Thursday photo to check what number I was up to. I can’t believe my last Thursday photo was only a week ago, we’ve had so many adventures since then.  Today, we made the most of our last full day at Bluestone. Wow, what a day

Today has been another hectic yet fantastic day at Bluestone National Park. We started off the morning with messy play for both children. Of course, the idea was that they could get messy. All the children got messy, within reason. Only my two took it to this extreme.  The messy play was great, everything was edible and there were a variety of things to do including painting, non-Newtonian fluid (cornflower solution), glittery things, jelly, custard and water.  Libby took it all very seriously, as she tends to do.  Lia also had fun, causing both mess and chaos in her own…

Teaching kindness

Every day the media bombards us with the bad side of humanity. Terrorism, murder, rape, child abuse, cruelty to animals. The list goes on. Among all the bad news though, there is often a little reminder that most of us are naturally kind. Good news stories at the end of the local news, awards for unsung heroes, news bites on certain websites. Hashtags that take the world by storm, particularly following terrible events.
