Back to school with prezzybox: Competition

I was sent these fabulous back to school items by prezzybox for the purpose of an honest review and to allow me to host the competition. All views, opinions, images and soon-to-be schoolgirls are my own. Can you believe that this little cutie with the infectious giggle and her shoes on the wrong feet starts school next week? Neither can I. But that time is upon us and it’s time to start getting ready. When prezzybox got in touch about working with us on a back to school project, I was quite smug. Nope, there was nothing I needed thank you very…

Teletubbies books: Review & Giveaway

This is a collaborative post. All views, opinions and images are my own. Whilst I was too old for Teletubbies when they first came on television nearly 20 years ago, I do remember watching the programme with my sisters when they were little. Even then, I loved how colourful the show was, really engaging for young children and nice and cheerful. That’s why I was pleased to see Teletubbies back on television in November. I was particularly pleased to hear from Dr Jacqueline Harding that the show was designed with children’s development in mind. Interestingly, it is supposed to help with communication,…

The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home

My girls have loved reading with me for as long as I can remember. I enjoy reading to them every day, and seeing how their taste in books changes and develops. They are both now of an age where they can follow a basic story, ask questions about the pictures and the characters and be truly drawn into the plot. When Lost My Name got in touch to offer us the opportunity to review a personalised book for the girls, we were all delighted. Particularly when we realised that the book they wanted us to review was The Incredible Intergalactic Journey…

Father’s day with Prezzybox: Win!

Please note, this is a collaborative post but all views, opinions and ‘difficult to buy for’ father’s are my own. I have always struggled to know what to buy for my dad on Father’s day. He is the typical man who has everything, and it doesn’t help that his birthday is soon after Father’s day, so I have to think of even more ideas. Thankfully this year, Prezzybox have come to the rescue with some fabulous, personalised items that are just perfect for my dad. The first thing is a personalised whiskey glass. On the body of the glass, it…

Konfidence: Review & Competition

Swimming has always been an important part of my life, so I’ve been taking the girls swimming regularly since they were a few weeks old. As well as swimming in the pool, I love open water swimming – whether that’s in rivers, lakes or in the sea. I recently discovered Konfidence, who produce some amazing children’s swim accessories – just the sort of things my girls need. We were all delighted when Konfidence offered to send us a few of their products to try out, and we put them to good use on a sunny day in the paddling pool.…

Fit for a Queen: Fruit tart recipe

This week marks the Queen’s official 90th birthday. To celebrate, I’ve teamed up with Kitchenways to make a Royal Bake that is Fit For A Queen. Royal Fruit Bouquet I have been doing quite a bit of baking with the girls lately, and there is more to come as birthday season is still in full swing. As a result, I decided it was time for a change from cake, so I decided to make a pie instead. The Queen is often given flowers and she wears lovely bright colours, often opting for flowers on her outfits as well. So that was the…

Win a family day out at National Sea Life Centre Birmingham!

Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to be invited to review the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. Following that, we were chosen as blogger ambassadors for 2016. We are huge fans of the National Sea Life Centre, and made many trips there last year for some fabulous days out. But our love of the National Sea Life Centre goes back even further than that. When I first had Libby, I had always intended to go back to my job in Birmingham. So when she was just 3 months old, off I went back to work. This really wasn’t the…
