Christmas illuminations at Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Strolling through the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the children’s eyes were like saucers. I listened as they whispered to each other: “This is amazing, we’re in fairyland!” Arriving in fairyland at Birmingham Botanical Gardens When we arrived at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we were greeted by a small fairground. The helter skelter, carousel and mini-roundabout were joined by a couple of small food stalls. Christmas at Warwick Castle

The children sat on the floor in a circle, looking up at Santa. Each one hung onto his every word, captivated by his stories of reindeer and jingle bells. Adam Speaks at National Trust Croome

As the sun set over Croome, coloured lights shone on the Adam Speaks Tree House art installation. The project paid tribute to the influence designer Robert Adam had on the estate. But the beautiful landscape combined with the colours of nature seemed to insist on a nod to Capability Brown. The Adam Speaks project The project began with a search for an emerging artist. Drayton’s Magical Christmas Review

Thomas chuffed into Knapford station with his festive lights, reindeer antlers and red nose. All the children cheered before piling on for a Christmassy train ride.
