The homework rescue mission and the 3D jungle

Libby arrived home from school on Friday with homework as usual. The only slight departure from the norm was that the homework was due in on Monday. We had an incredibly busy weekend planned, and of course the homework involved craft – she had to make a jungle. And I had no craft supplies. A lucky coincidence Just as I decided to make Libby rip a piece of paper out of a pad and draw her jungle, the postman arrived. In a strange twist of fate that made me think I should buy a lottery ticket, he brought us a box of…

Make a peacock easy craft for toddlers

We’re loving working with Bostik this year to create various craft items based on a theme each month. We’ve already made a Valentine’s card with matching envelope and an Easter table decoration. It’s really easy to search for a particular item if you know what you want, but you also have the alternative option of looking for ideas based on who you’re buying for. Kid Pundits is a section on the Prezzybox website where children review one of their gifts. They tell you a little bit about it,…

A finger puppet show

This weekend has been all about being outdoors. After all the excitement yesterday, the girls had an afternoon nap and then we decided to do something a little bit calmer.  We were lucky enough to be sent some gorgeous crafting materials by Sykes Cottages and invited to make some finger puppets. They have the instructions on how to make them on their blog, and they’ve been kind enough to share them with us as well, so here they are: Now as you’ll notice, the penguins are incredibly easy to make with quite basic materials. Libby and I were assisted by some…
