As a self-confessed coffee addict, I’m always keen to keep up to date with the new ways to enjoy my favourite hot drink. Recently, I started to see Beanies flavoured coffee in shops, at the office and on social media. Naturally, I was intrigued. Beanies make coffee with a vast range of flavours and most recently, they’ve introduced their strawberries & cream flavour instant coffee.

About Beanies

Beanies pride themselves on being the specialists in flavoured coffee, offering over 50 flavours. Their flavours range from strawberries and cream to sticky toffee to cherry bakewell and even birthday cake. Better still, they are all low in calories and sugar free. Ideal if you’ve got a sweet tooth but want to steer clear of sugar. Beanies can be enjoyed with or without milk.

Produced in Darlington in the North East of England, Beanies are proud of their ability to combine coffee with all sorts of other flavours. They even ask people to email them with their ideas for new flavours.

They have also teamed up with Coffeeway so if you’re a ground coffee fan like me, you can grab yourself a flavoured ground coffee, or even some flavoured coffee bags, pods or decaf.

Beanies Strawberries & Cream Instant Coffee

Strawberries and cream is the latest flavour from Beanies. Like all their products, it is simply made with freeze dried coffee and flavouring. They advise that to make the perfect cup, you can use one heaped teaspoon per cup. Add to this 200 ml of freshly boiled water. This can be enjoyed with or without milk, depending on your preferences.

As a true coffee lover, I always choose to avoid milk all together. Personally I find that this allows me to taste the coffee properly. Combine that with the added strawberries and cream and you’ve got an ideal cuppa for anyone with a bit of a sweet tooth. I do find that drinking Beanies instead of standard coffee tends to alleviate any sugar cravings I’m having. Great if you’re trying to cut down on the biscuits!

Beanies Strawberries & Cream is low in sugar and calories, and it is a caffeinated drink. This makes it a great way to start the day, especially if you need something to wake you up and make you feel alert. It would have been ideal for when I was working night shifts as well. I always craved something sweet but tried to avoid reaching for the sugar. This ticks all the right boxes!
