Summer Holiday Clubs 2026 In the West Midlands
With Summer holidays approaching, many parents are asking what summer holiday clubs they can take their children to in the West Midlands without breaking the bank. This guide is split by county, use the table below to jump to the section you need. It’s worth looking at bordering counties if you can’t find one where you live. I’ve included HAF-funded places, low‑cost options, and premium camps. Each section includes a direct link to your local council’s HAF portal so eligible families can claim free places with meals.
What is HAF and who is eligible?
HAF stands for Holiday Activities and Food – a government-funded programme that provides free holiday clubs with healthy meals for children and young people. It runs in every local authority in England during the Easter, summer, and Christmas holidays.
Who is eligible?
Places are for children and young people aged 4–16 who receive benefits-related free school meals. Some councils also offer places to other vulnerable children (e.g., those with an EHCP, in care, or referred by a social worker) – check with your local authority for the full criteria.
What do you get?
- At least 4 hours of activities per day (sports, arts, cooking, outdoor play, etc.)
- A nutritious meal each day (breakfast or lunch, depending on the session)
- A safe, supervised environment during the school holidays
How to apply
Each council runs its own booking system – usually a simple online form or phone line. Places are limited and go fast, so it’s best to apply as early as possible. Links to each county’s HAF portal are included in the sections below.
