Thursday Photo #110

This week has been a whirlwind, but in a good way – especially for Libby. Saturday was her birthday and she was performing with her Stage Performance group in a local fete. She is still the smallest in the drama group, and listening to her singing her little part in ‘Do Ray Me’ a couple of seconds late, then trotting off after the others at the end was both adorable and hilarious. We went straight from her performance and onto the pony rides and the bouncy castle, rounding off our trip to the fete by having their faces painted as…

What to expect on a holiday to the Black Forest, Germany!

The Baden-Baden region of Germany has been on my bucket list of destinations to visit since day one. Not only is it seemingly one of the most beautiful parts of Europe, but it is the place that my family originate from, definitely a place I need to visit. I was invited to visit the region on a three day whistle-stop tour, courtesy of Fly-Baden – a co-operation of tourist destinations within the Baden-Baden region. Here’s what to expect from a holiday to this beautiful part of Germany. You can read more about my trip in my post about the Black…

It doesn’t seem like only a week ago that we were sitting in beautiful Blairmore Farm enjoying a relaxing evening with a few drinks before heading home the next day. So much has happened since then. After a characteristically hectic weekend, my husband went into hospital yesterday to have the operation he’s been waiting for. Unfortunately for the short term, it has left him notably less mobile, so after a couple of busy days ferrying him to and…

Jojo Maman Bebe sun protection: Review

Please note, this is a collaborative post with Jojo Maman Bebe but all views, opinions and hat-loving toddlers are my own. Since having children, I have been notably more aware of the effects of sun on the skin. I’ve never been a sunbather, but I also don’t bother too much with sun protection for myself. For the children though, it’s a totally different story. Whilst I do appreciate that sun screen is very effective, where possible I prefer the girls to cover up in strong sunshine. This is sometimes easier said than done, especially for Lia who is a huge…

Self-catering luxury at Blairmore Farm Review

Last week we spent the week at Blairmore Farm, which provides luxury self-catering accommodation in the Perth and Kinross area of Scotland. The purpose of our stay was for me to review Blairmore Farm, but since coming home I’ve been putting off writing my review. Why? Because I have no idea how my words or photographs could possibly do justice to such an amazing place. Booking a stay at Blairmore Farm I was asked to review Blairmore Farm by Embrace Scotland – the premier resource for booking self-catering holidays in Scotland. From that point on, I was in touch directly with Ailsa…
