Win a family ticket for Nozstock The Hidden Valley Festival
[AD press tickets]
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Nozstock – the Hidden Valley festival. Based in Bromyard, Herefordshire, Nozstock is one of a select few festivals that have reached their 20th anniversary year. Every Summer, this working farm in Bromyard attracts a diverse audience of newcomers, seasoned festival goers and curious families. This year, it takes place from 20th to 22nd July and you could win a family ticket for two adults, two children over 12 and up to 4 children under 12.
The lineup
It may seem a bit ridiculous, but I really can’t tell you the lineup at Nozstock. There are SO many acts that you’ll have to head over to the lineup page to read them all. That said, I can tell you that the festival brings something from all genres of music and performance. That includes local artists, comedy acts, dance, sea shantys, a laptop orchestra and some big names.
Look out for We Are Scientits, Dub Pistols, The Blockheads, GoldFrapp and DJ sets from Grandmaster Flash, Black Sun Empire and many others. There are 11 different areas, each hosting a different type of music or entertainment. And if you’re coming with children, there’s something for them too.
Family fun
The Little Wonderland Kids area will be the highlight of Nozstock for children. Kids and parents can get creative making felt creations, headdresses, shakers and tie dye. There’s a mini disco, face painting, soft play, puppeteering, yoga and a dance workshop among other amazing activities. And best of all, everything in this area is free.
The whole family area will be run by Spare Room Arts. They specialise in festivals and outdoor events, aiming to bring creative, innovative arts workshops to people of all ages. I have no doubt that this is where you’ll find us for most of Nozstock, my girls are going to love it.
The Nozstock ethos
As well as aiming to bring a diverse group of people of all ages together, Nozstock work hard to give something back. Not only to the local community, but by supporting national charities such as Oxfam and Trees for Cities.
They’re waging war on plastic at Nozstock this year, with three measures in place to reduce the amount thrown away. All drinks will be served in Nozstock goblets rather than single use plastic cups. No plastic straws will be on site, and plastic water bottles will be dramatically cut. This means if you’re heading to the festival, you’ll need to bring a reusable water bottle.
