Naked Nutrition Pea Protein: Review [AD]
Advertorial
Do you need more protein in your diet but prefer to avoid protein supplements containing too many added ingredients? If so, I’m about to introduce you to a game changer: Naked Nutrition – protein powders that are free from additives. Personally, I’ve always had a bit of an ongoing battle in my head over protein supplements. I’m vegetarian and I don’t consume a lot of dairy products. I’m not keen on using loads of vegetarian protein alternatives because I know they’re highly processed. But protein powders are always SO sweet that I worry about what’s in those too. I’ve been trying out Naked Pea Protein for the past couple of weeks, here are my thoughts on the product.
About Naked Nutrition
Naked Nutrition pride themselves on ONLY using pure ingredients. That means no artificial sweeteners or colours and no additives. A lot of their range is whey based, which is a dairy product. Its popularity is unsurprising, since it contains grass fed whey protein powder – and not a lot else.
Naked Nutrition offer both flavoured and unflavoured protein powders, with flavour options of chocolate and vanilla. Their website is also full of health and fitness articles, protein recipes and supplement reviews.
What initially attracted me to the brand was the commitment to providing protein options that leave out the rubbish. But browsing their website has made me realise that they really care about the success of their customers.

Naked Nutrition Pea Protein Review
Whilst all of Naked Nutrition’s products look great, I found their vegan offering really exciting. In particular, the Naked Pea Protein. Not least because it is THE MOST pure protein powder I’ve ever found. In fact, it JUST contains peas.
The ingredients list looks like this:
- Yellow Pea Protein.
That’s it.
And with an ingredients list like that, you might be surprised to discover that it contains 18 amino acids as well as iron, calcium and potassium. Better still, its protein content is 54%.
How to use Naked Pea
Here’s the other thing I love. I don’t drink milk and I’m not a huge fan of milk alternatives such as almond and oat due to the additives they often contain. So many protein powders are for consumption with milk that I’m generally put off from buying them.
But Naked Pea is different. It’s fine to blend it with water or another beverage – simply using a shaker or blender. Or, you can blend it with fruits and vegetables.
I didn’t do any of that. I’ve been using mine to replace flour in sauces that need thickening – think brocolli cheese or tomato pasta sauce.
Better still, I’ve added it to my pancake recipe, using a little less flour and plenty of Naked Pea protein. The pancakes tasted much the same, but I knew their protein content was higher, which is exactly what I need as I am fully aware that I don’t consume enough protein compared to the amount of exercise that I do.

Which protein product is right for you?
As you can tell, I’m pretty biased towards the Naked Pea protein. However, there are lots of other options available. Why not take the Naked Nutrition quiz to find out which one is best for you?
