Sugar Detox to get healthy in the New Year

I don’t know about you, but I’m done with the excesses of Christmas. But I’m not done with it in a ‘ready to stop’ sort of way. I’m just looking to my annual January health kick, and this year it will involve a sugar detox. Christmas is the one time when I manage to totally stop working for a few days and relax. Not going on a diet

Over the past few months, my weight has been bothering me a bit. A few times, I’ve decided it was time to go on a diet, but something always gets in the way. A birthday, a meal with friends or just a nice bottle of cider on a Friday night. And that’s why I’m not going on a diet. Friday traditions

Fridays are odd days here because Libby usually spends the morning in nursery. Lia and I don’t have anything in particular that we do on a Friday, so we’ve developed our own little Friday traditions. Lia always has a morning nap and I take the opportunity for a quiet cup of coffee. Dear waistline, I miss you…

Back in early November, we bought a packet of mince pies and decided that it was time to start our Christmas eating. So, Christmas came and went and we had our trip to Bluestone booked for last week.
