Berrington Hall (National Trust)

Celebrate Christmas with the Georgians this year at Berrington Hall. Atmospheric lighting, traditional decorations, dried flowers in the fireplaces and stunning Christmas trees create a festive feel. Look out for the “below stairs” Christmas experience too. There is no additional cost for this event and advance booking is not required.
Georgian Christmas Stocking Trail
Collect a stocking from the welcome desk and look around the house and gardens for items to create your own festive decoration to take home. Decorations are inspired by homemade traditions that were popular in Georgian times.

Brockhampton Estate

Celebrate 600 years of Christmas at Brockhampton by travelling back in time to find out how families would have spent Christmas Eve during the property’s history, from medieval times right up to the 1950s.
Displays range from a medieval feast to a Georgian party, Victorian trees and Edwardian food. Plus a family fireside Christmas from the 1950s.
There will also be children’s activities, cooking demos and musical performances, all of which will be announced soon.

Courtyard Hereford – Cinderella Pantomime 2026 – 27
Get ready for a magical festive outing as Cinderella takes to the stage in a dazzling professional pantomime packed with laughter, mischief and heartwarming moments. Follow Cinders on her journey from hardship to happily ever after, as she outwits her outrageous Ugly Sisters and receives a little help from a spellbinding Fairy Godmother. With spectacular transformations, show-stopping musical numbers, stunning costumes and plenty of classic panto chaos, this family-friendly production promises lots of audience participation and festive cheer. A much-loved Christmas tradition, it’s a joyful, feel-good show that’s perfect for all ages.

Courtyard Hereford – The Snow Queen
Step into a magical festive adventure at The Courtyard with a charming retelling of The Snow Queen, perfect for younger children not quite ready for pantomime. Follow best friends Gerda and Kay as their bond is tested when the Snow Queen whisks Kay away, prompting Gerda to embark on a brave and heartwarming quest to rescue him. Along the way, she encounters a host of magical characters and discovers her own strength—with plenty of opportunities for little ones to join in the fun. Featuring original songs, interactive moments and a celebration of friendship and individuality, this relaxed and inclusive production creates a welcoming space where every child can enjoy the magic in their own way.

Croft Castle (National Trust) Herefordshire

This Christmas, families can enjoy a festive trail at Croft Castle where children become little helpers, following clues inspired by traditional carols as they explore beautifully decorated rooms. With a special activity booklet, they’ll discover Victorian Christmas traditions and join in with festive preparations, from making paper chains and cards to crafting silhouette ornaments. The trail costs £3 per child, including a prize, plus normal admission.

Green Dragon Hotel Hereford – Enchanted Christmas 2026

Returning this festive season, The Enchanted Group brings its most magical grotto yet to the beautiful Ballroom on the ground floor of The Green Dragon Hotel. Families can step into a fully immersive Christmas experience featuring a 30-minute live musical performance of The Grinch, with singing, mischief, and seasonal cheer shared by the Grinch, Cindy-Lou, and Max the dog. Expect charming festive touches such as reindeer-food making, ‘naughty or nice’ tests with embossed gold-coin keepsakes, Christmas list writing, a one-on-one chat with authentic Santa Claus (complete with a gift), and a festive activity booklet to enjoy while waiting.

Ralph Court Gardens Herefordshire

Ralph Court Gardens will become a Winter Wonderland for Christmas. Enjoy a musical fountain dancing to festive music, Christmas inflatables, and Victorian carol singers. Listen to a Christmas tale read by Boris the bear and hear their donkey-supported singing reindeer. Ralph Court Gardens guarantee snow flurries every day, so be sure to wrap up warm! Visit after dark on the evening dates listed below to experience the magic of festive lights around the garden, and meet father Christmas as well as the daytime characters.
