Things to do West Midlands February half term 2023
School holidays are approaching again, so it’s time to check out all the things to do in the West Midlands during February half term 2023. As half term isn’t quite such a big event as the Christmas holidays, many places announce their plans quite late. If your favourite attraction doesn’t have anything listed as yet, do get in touch with them to see what their plans are. Birmingham Botanical Gardens West Midlands February half term 2023
Go on a minibeast safari at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens this February half term. Drop-in creative craft workshops take place from 18th to 26th February 2023 for children aged 4 and above. There’s also a Minibeast Safari activity sheet to complete and a minibeast safari trail. Grab a pair of bug-eyed glasses and learn about biodiversity and bugs. Black Country Living Museum
Live dangerously this February half term from 18th to 26th February 2023 when you visit the Black Country Living Museum in the West Midlands. Their event is all about the perils of the past, bad luck and devastating disasters. On an activity trail, visitors will meet historic characters and find out what life was like before health and safety legislation. Accidents happened every day and they have shaped the world we live in now. Learn about the dangers of factories, mines and around the home. Meet a journalist, nurse and police officer as you explore the museum. Don’t forget, buying an entry ticket now will entitle you to return for free throughout 2023. Cadbury World West Midlands February half term 2023
Freddo’s Big Top Stage Show will be taking place every weekend and during school holidays from 11th February to 26th March 2023 at Cadbury World in the West Midlands. Let the Great Fredeedo read your mind, laugh along with Freddo’s clowning around and be amazed by Spin Master Freddo’s juggling skills too. Show times are every half an hour from midday to 4pm in the Entertainment Marquee. Visitors can also meet Cadbury Characters throughout the day, as well as exploring Cadbury World on the tour. Dudley Canal and Caverns
Every school holiday, Dudley Canal and Caverns puts on its Little Skippers event for holiday fun. Craft activities take place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in school holidays. Legoland Discovery Centre
From 18th to 26th February 2023, the Legoland Discovery Centre half term event will be taking place. This is the ultimate Lego playground with a 4D Cinema, two rides, Miniland, soft play and build stations. For half term week only, there will also be a scavenger hunt and the opportunity to build a part of the Legoland Metropolis. Visitors can also learn from the Playmakers and undertake colour-themed building challenges. Further details are on the Legoland Discovery Centre website.
National Sea Life Centre West Midlands February half term 2023
It’s time to enter the Jurassic Seas at the National Sea Life Centre this February half term. From 18th to 26th February 2023, visitors can become a Sea Life Ranger by following clues on a roarsome adventure. Explore the aquarium and see fascinating creatures including Black Tip Reef Sharks, Gentoo Penguins and Northern Sea Otters as well as a colourful array of fish, jellyfish and sea horses. Selly Manor Museum
Meet the Terriffic Tudors at Selly Manor this February half term. From 20th to 24th February 2023, visitors can get to know Quirky Queens and Kooky Kings while they explore the Tudor house. Take part in battle preparations, try on armour and even meet King Henry VIII. Take part in crafts and games and find out what it takes to fight for England’s King!
