10 Best Dog Friendly Cafés in Malvern: My Favourite Places for Brunch
Malvern has some lovely dog friendly cafés, whether you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a leisurely brunch, grab a coffee after walking on the Malvern Hills or meet friends for breakfast. With so many independent cafés and welcoming places to eat in and around Great Malvern, Malvern Link and the surrounding villages, there’s plenty of choice for dog owners.
For the past couple of years, I’ve had a regular brunch date with my dad and my dog. We’ve tried out loads of different places and keep coming back to our favourites. I’ve put together this guide to my favourite dog friendly cafés in Malvern based on our own experiences. These aren’t simply places I’ve found online – they’re cafés we’ve actually visited, often more than once.
From cosy coffee shops to relaxed brunch spots, I’ve included the places we particularly enjoy, along with practical information about where dogs are welcome, what the food is like and anything else worth knowing before you visit. Some are ideal for a quick coffee, while others are perfect for a more leisurely breakfast or lunch.

My Favourite Dog Friendly Cafés in Malvern
It’s worth noting that some of these cafés are in the Malvern area rather than technically in Malvern itself. I’ve made it clear exactly where places are and they’re all easy to get to by car. That said, if you’d rather a café in Malvern itself, there are plenty of those too.
The Fold Café
The Fold Café is a lovely dog friendly café in Bransford, just outside Malvern. Set in a beautifully converted 17th-century granary, it offers a relaxed place to enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch with your dog. The café specialises in vegetarian and vegan food, using fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients, including produce grown on its own community farm.
The menu changes with the seasons, with an emphasis on freshly prepared, nutritious food. The café also serves locally roasted coffee, organic teas and a selection of cakes. It’s a particularly appealing option if you’re looking for somewhere that offers something a little different from a traditional café breakfast.
One of the things that makes The Fold particularly attractive for dog owners is the opportunity to explore the surrounding nature trails before or after visiting the café. There are also independent shops and artists’ studios on-site, making it somewhere you can spend a little longer rather than simply stopping for a coffee.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome in the café and there are plenty of places to walk with them around the site.
Pros
This is probably the most dog friendly café we’ve been to, especially when you take into consideration its setting. There are some lovely walks from the car park, most of which are nice and easy and flat although some do go across fields. If you walk down to the river, both humans and dogs can go cold water swimming in there in the summer months. It’s more of a dip than a swim as you can’t really go far, but dogs and humans tend to love it. It’s important to be careful and only go in when there hasn’t been a lot of rain as the current can get really strong.
In the café, there are dog treats on the counter that you can help yourself to, and the waiters and waitresses tend to bring a treat over for the dogs as well. Dogs are allowed both inside and outside. The food is lovely with loads of vegetarian and vegan options and they tend to use seasonal vegetables grown onsite.
Cons
Honestly there aren’t many. However, it’s not easy to get to unless you’re driving. They also stop serving brunch at midday, so if you’re there for the brunch you’ll need to go early. That said, they were great with my dad who has Alzheimer’s and tends to want the same thing each time we go. The chef has always been really accommodating and made what he wanted even when we arrived a bit late for brunch.
Address: The Fold, Bransford, Worcester, WR6 5JB
Parking: Free on-site parking in a huge car park.
Opening times: Daily, 9am–4pm. Food served until 3.30pm.

The Morgan Factory Café
The Morgan Café at the Morgan Experience Centre in Malvern Link is a lovely place to enjoy a dog friendly breakfast, brunch or lunch in a rather unusual setting. Located at the home of the famous Morgan sports cars, the café combines modern surroundings with the company’s motoring heritage. You don’t need to book a factory tour or any other experience to visit, as the café is open to everyone.
The café is run in partnership with Faun, a local Malvern business known for its artisan bread, pastries and locally sourced ingredients. The menu includes freshly made sweet and savoury pastries alongside a selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. There are several different seating areas, including an outdoor terrace, and plenty of on-site parking.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome inside and outside the café. Water bowls and dog treats are also available. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the factory for the tour.
Pros
Very dog friendly and a lovely setting both indoors and out. It’s fascinating to see the cars as you walk up to the café and the Morgan factory is quite iconic in Malvern so it’s lovely that they’re making use of the space and you can go there without being on the tour.
Cons
I find the menu a bit limited, particularly being vegetarian. I usually end up ordering the same thing (a confit mushroom sandwich) which is delicious, but we haven’t been for a while because it can get a bit repetitive. Parking can get busy but there’s free parking around on the roads as well. That said, this can cause a bit of traffic chaos, particularly on rugby match days as the rugby club is right next door with limited parking.
Address: Morgan Experience Centre, Spring Lane, Malvern Link, Worcestershire, WR14 2LS
Parking: Free on-site parking.
Opening times: Monday–Thursday 8.30am–5pm, Friday–Saturday 8.30am–4pm. Closed Sunday. Food served 9am–3pm.

Choccotastic
Choccotastic is a dog friendly chocolate café in Hanley Swan, just outside Malvern. Located alongside its chocolate factory and shop, it’s a particularly tempting place to visit if you have a sweet tooth. As well as being somewhere to stop for coffee and cake, the café specialises in chocolate treats and a full-on chocolatey menu, making it a little different from the usual brunch spots around Malvern.
The menu includes indulgent hot chocolates, build-your-own waffle sticks, handmade ice cream and chocolate dipping platters. There is also a light lunch menu, locally made treats and freshly roasted coffee from Mill Bank Coffee Co. The café also has a small shop that sells handmade chocolates and confectionery produced on-site, while chocolate-making workshops are available to book separately. On selected dates, they do chocolate-making workshops for adults and children as well but these are in a separate room from the café so I doubt if they’re dog friendly.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome inside the café as well as in the small outdoor seating area. There are even special treats for four-legged visitors, including puppuccinos, dog ice cream and dog sausages.
Pros
Has air conditioning which was a dream in the heatwave. Their unusual menu is absolutely delicious. We’ve sampled the pancake stacks, shared chocolate dipping platter and waffle sticks and they’re all fabulous. I’ve also had a ploughman’s on a day when I didn’t fancy chocolate and that was really nice too. We also like the drink selection, there are some quite unusual options including ice teas which my daughters really enjoy.
Cons
You need to pay to treat your dog rather than other places that just have a treat jar on the counter. That said, the dog menu is good and Marco approved of the dog sausages, which are dog treats rather than cooked sausages. You’ll need to drive if heading here from Malvern as it’s quite far out. I do also get the fear about parking – there are a few spaces right outside but I’m never totally sure where on the industrial estate I’m allowed to park if I can’t get in right outside the café.
Address: Unit 4, Hanley Workshops, Hanley Swan, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR8 0DX
Parking: On-site parking available.
Opening times: Monday–Saturday 10am–5pm, Sunday 11am–4pm. Check before visiting.

The Steamhouse
The Steamhouse on Worcester Road in Great Malvern is a popular choice for breakfast, brunch or lunch, particularly if you enjoy freshly made bagels. Located a short walk from the town centre, the café has a modern, relaxed atmosphere with indoor seating and an outdoor courtyard.
The Steamhouse is particularly well known for its creative bagel combinations, alongside a full breakfast and brunch menu, freshly brewed coffee and handmade cakes. Its bagels and baked goods are delivered fresh each morning from the company’s bakery in Redditch. Whilst it’s a chain, most of the locations are fairly local and I’d heard great things about this one before it arrived in Malvern.
The café is also conveniently located for exploring Great Malvern and could be a good place to stop before or after a walk on the Malvern Hills.
Dog friendly: Dogs are allowed both inside and outside at the Steamhouse and the people working there are real dog lovers who provided Marco with the treats and affection he demands.
Pros
I absolutely love the food at the Steamhouse. Not only are their bagels fresh and tasty with delicious fillings, they come with some lovely little seasoned tater tots. If you’re not a fan of bagels there are other options as well, including cakes and pancakes. Marco would also rate this as his favourite place in Malvern because when we took him in, he was given a huge dog treat and plenty of attention.
Cons
It can be quite difficult to park at the top of town. If you’re up to the walk up the hill, I’d recommend parking at Waitrose and walking up. Otherwise, there are a few one-hour free parking spaces along the road.
Address: 18 Worcester Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 4QW
Opening times: Monday–Sunday, 8.30am–4pm.

Poolbrook Kitchen & Coffee Shop
Poolbrook Kitchen & Coffee Shop is an independent, family-run café on Poolbrook Road in Malvern, not far from the Three Counties Showground. It’s a lovely option for a relaxed breakfast, brunch or lunch with your dog, with a welcoming atmosphere and a menu featuring plenty of homemade food.
The café prides itself on preparing most of its food in-house, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Breakfast and lunch options include traditional café favourites, alongside vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices. Its homemade sourdough bread, award-winning cakes and freshly prepared bakes are particularly worth looking out for. Coffee comes from James Gourmet Coffee, a family-run roastery in Ross-on-Wye.
Dogs are welcome both inside the café and in the outdoor seating area, making it a convenient place to stop whatever the weather. The menu is quite simple but it’s all tasty and has a real local café feel to it.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome indoors and outside.
Pros
Nice simple menu with good quality food. It was ideal for my dad who has Alzheimer’s and can struggle with a more complex or unusual menu. I’m quite a fan of a good vegetarian cooked breakfast and I enjoyed this one. This one is just outside of Barnards Green and could easily be incorporated into a walk on the beautiful Peachfield Common which is one of Marco’s favourite routes.
Cons
Parking outside can be a bit of a nightmare. There are a few little shops and some houses on the small road by the café and we did struggle a little bit to find somewhere to park. It’s also quite small inside. So, if you’ve got a dog that doesn’t like being too close to other dogs, you might want to visit on a sunny day when you’ve got the option of indoor or outdoor seating.
Address: 118 Poolbrook Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3JD
Opening times: Seasonal opening hours apply. Check before visiting.

Faun Malvern
Faun is an independent bakery, café and restaurant at the top of Great Malvern, offering a lovely setting for breakfast, brunch or lunch with your dog. Located on Worcester Road, it has a contemporary interior, beautiful views across the Worcestershire countryside and a covered outdoor terrace.
The café focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients, with much of its food prepared from scratch. Its all-day brunch and lunch menu offers a selection of creative dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options. Faun is also well known for its freshly baked sourdough bread, pastries and cakes, making it a tempting place to stop for coffee even if you’re not planning a full meal.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome in two designated indoor seating areas and on the covered outdoor terrace. So, it’s a good option throughout the year. The café is conveniently located for exploring Great Malvern or enjoying a walk on the Malvern Hills.
Pros
Faun does some of the best pastries around. Their almond croissants and coffee come particularly highly recommended. Everything on the menu is fresh, tasty and well presented. There are a lot of healthy options like fresh salads. Everyone’s really friendly in there, even giving out free sourdough starters which have kept me going with sourdough baking for years. There’s plenty of space indoors and the outdoor seating is really nice too.
Cons
I can’t put my finger on why, but I never feel overly comfortable in here despite having been multiple times for lunch, coffees and meetings. I haven’t taken my dad, the menu is a bit fussy for him although I know he’d enjoy the pastries. Parking can also be a bit difficult, but you can sometimes get lucky with the one-hour spaces outside. Faun at the Morgan Factory always feels a bit more relaxed and there’s plenty of space to park there too, so that’s usually my preference if I go to a Faun café.
Address: 31–33 Worcester Road, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 4RD
Opening times: Monday–Friday 8.30am–4pm, Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 9am–3pm. Brunch and lunch are generally served until 3pm, or 2.30pm on Sundays.

Abbey Road Coffee
Abbey Road Coffee is an independent, dog friendly café tucked away on Abbey Road in the centre of Great Malvern, just a short walk from Malvern Priory. With its relaxed atmosphere, rustic wooden furnishings and plenty of greenery, it’s a lovely place to stop for coffee, a light brunch or something sweet while exploring the town with your dog.
The café specialises in artisan coffee, alongside a selection of teas, hot chocolates and chai. Food options include freshly made sandwiches and toasties, homemade cakes and a good range of vegetarian and vegan choices. The vegan cheese toasties and locally roasted coffee are particularly worth looking out for.
There is seating inside as well as an outdoor courtyard, offering somewhere to relax in warmer weather. Its central location also makes it a convenient stop before or after a walk around Great Malvern or on the Malvern Hills. I sometimes walk from the clock tower across to town and stop in here for a coffee. When I used to be able to work from cafés I’d often go and sit in here on my own with my dog and my laptop to do some work. It’s got a really friendly vibe and I didn’t feel out of place on my own with a coffee.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome indoors and outside.
Pros
Really dog friendly inside and out. Lovely atmosphere, great for meeting up with friends or sitting on your own. Ideal for warming up during a dog walk. Amazing coffee.
Cons
Not overly accessible, you can’t park right outside and access is either via steps or a reasonably long walk up through the priory churchyard. Just a personal preference but I’ve never been overly keen on the cakes here, they’re a bit too sweet for me.
Address: 11 Abbey Road, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3ES
Opening times: Generally daily, 8.30am–4pm. Check before visiting.

Café Morso
Café Morso is a welcoming café in the village of Colwall, around a 10 minute drive from Great Malvern. With views towards the Malvern Hills, it’s a lovely place to stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch, whether you’re visiting the village or enjoying a walk in the surrounding countryside with your dog.
I absolutely love Colwall for a dog walk. I tend to go over the railway bridge and into the fields there. Dogs need to be on a lead due to livestock but you can walk right up onto the Malvern Hills, or just have a little potter around the fields.
The café serves a range of freshly prepared food, including traditional cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties and lighter lunch options. There are also vegetarian and vegan choices, along with cakes, coffee, teas and other hot drinks. It’s a popular meeting place for local residents as well as walkers exploring the Malvern Hills.
Dogs are welcome at Café Morso, making it a convenient place to enjoy a relaxed brunch with your four-legged friend. I always really enjoy the vegetarian breakfast there, but I think it’s only served until around midday.
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome both indoors and outside although it’s always worth checking the current arrangements when visiting.
Pros
I really love the atmosphere in café Morso, there’s plenty of space and nice seating both inside and out. I’ve been there for coffees, cakes and brunches and always had a great experience.
Cons
There’s no allocated parking for the café, but you can usually find a space outside on the road. I’ve never been overly keen on the lunch menu but that’s a combination of personal preference and being disappointed to have missed brunch.
Address: The Provisions, Walwyn Road, Colwall Stone, Malvern, WR13 6QG
Parking: Street parking nearby.
Opening times: Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 10am–4pm. Check before visiting.

Sally’s Place
Sally’s Place is a popular outdoor café at British Camp on the Malvern Hills, perfectly positioned for a bite to eat before or after a walk with your dog. Located directly opposite the British Camp car park, it’s a favourite stopping point for walkers, cyclists, bikers and visitors exploring the hills. Unlike a traditional café, Sally’s Place is a takeaway kiosk with plenty of outdoor seating, making it an informal and convenient place to stop with your pooch.
The menu offers a selection of hot and cold food, including breakfast baps, burgers, pasties, sandwiches and homemade cakes. There are also vegetarian options, ice creams and hot drinks. It’s particularly well known for its generous selection of cakes, ice creams and affordable refreshments, making it a tempting place to stop after climbing British Camp.
One of the best things about Sally’s Place is its location. You can head straight onto the Malvern Hills from the car park, with routes leading up to the Herefordshire Beacon and around British Camp. It’s an ideal choice if you’re looking for somewhere relaxed to enjoy a coffee and something to eat without having to leave your dog outside.
Dog friendly: Dogs can accompany you at the outdoor seating area. There is no indoor café seating.
Pros
I absolutely love Sally’s place, it’s friendly and affordable with delicious food. It’s an absolute joy when you’ve been on a hill walk to grab a hot drink and something to eat. We’ve also driven there specifically to get ice creams and cakes on a couple of occasions. We’ve only had hot drinks, ice creams and cakes there, but they do serve hot baps as well.
Cons
There’s nowhere to sit inside, so we’ve ended up eating ice creams in the car when the heavens have opened and we’ve been sat outdoors.
Address: Wynds Point, Jubilee Drive, Upper Colwall, Malvern, WR13 6DW
Parking: British Camp car park immediately opposite. Parking charges apply, so do make sure you check the pay and display signs.
Opening times: Generally open daily, with hours varying by season and weather. Check before visiting.

The Kettle Sings
The Kettle Sings is a traditional tearoom in a spectacular location on the western slopes of the Malvern Hills. Situated on Jubilee Drive near Upper Colwall, it has panoramic views across the Herefordshire countryside, making it a lovely place to stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch with your dog. Its hillside location is particularly appealing if you’re combining a café visit with a walk on the Malvern Hills.
The tearoom has been a familiar landmark for generations, known for its beautiful views and traditional homemade food. Following a period of closure, The Kettle Sings is reopening on 19 October 2026 under the management of Faun, the independent Malvern bakery and café. The reopening offers an opportunity to enjoy this much-loved location once again, with updated menus and a fresh approach from the Faun team.
The tearoom is conveniently located for several popular Malvern Hills walking routes, making it a good place to stop before or after exploring the surrounding countryside.
Dog friendly: Faun has confirmed that the Kettle Sings is dog friendly, with dogs welcome indoors and outside.
Pros & Cons
No big pros and cons list for this one because it’s been a few years since I’ve been to the Kettle Sings when it was under the previous management. That said, the menu looks great, the views have always been stunning and I’m really looking forward to it reopening. I’m certain it will get really busy when the bluebells are in full bloom on Jubilee Drive.
