Creating a dream home

Since buying my house over 12 years ago, I’ve never managed to do all the things I’d love to do to make it my own. I’m hoping that 2016 will change all that and that by the end of the year, I will be creating a dream home. Kitchen We desperately need a new kitchen. And I don’t mean just a few new units or white goods, I need a whole new kitchen. The thing that puts me off getting that done at the moment is the fact that to really get the kitchen the way I want it, I’d…

10 must-haves in a dream kitchen

It’s no secret that our house is in desperate need of a significant amount of TLC. Now that the bathroom is done, the kitchen is next on my list. Unfortunately, hubby has zero interest in gardening and I have zero time, so doing anything with the rest of the garden never seems to happen. I also never manage to…

Moving on

Eleven years ago next week, I bought the house that we still live in now. I was only 23 and it’s a big house, so when I first moved in I was rattling around in here on my own. Several house mates, three dogs, three cats, two children and a husband later and we’re finally considering moving on.  The house itself is ideal for our family, and the garden is slowly shaping up to be just the way we want it. The location is lovely, we have a fabulous view of the hills and our neighbours are all lovely. My…
