Hasn’t it been lovely to have another bank holiday so soon after Easter? Everyone seems so much more relaxed with the extra days off. Definitely a case for more long weekends throughout the year, or maybe every working week should be four days long. The illness that wasn’t On Friday, I dropped two happy girls off at school and went for a run. Not long after I got home, my phone rang and the lady from the school office told me that Lia was feeling sick and needed to come home. It seemed a bit odd, there had been no…

As the Easter holidays came screeching to a halt, we all tumbled back into our usual routine for a rest. I’m not really a people person. This week though, the support from friends, family and people I’ve never met was incredible. Before, during and after the London Marathon, those people made the experience one I’ll always remember. This varies in quality. Sometimes it’s jam or chocolate spread on toast. Other days…

After last week’s hectic schedule, it has been nice to take a step back from all the chaos over the past few days. Instead of having our usual family day out on Saturday, we baked a cake and walked to the local pub for lunch. The girls were going a bit stir crazy by the end of the day, but it was nice not to be rushing around for a change. Parent’s evening With the end of term comes parents evening as always. I have been pleasantly surprised by Libby’s parents evenings since she’s had her current teacher. She’s always…
