Our Thursday photo #7

Well you see it’s like this… It’s not so much that I forgot to post our Thursday photo yesterday, more that I had absolutely no idea it was Thursday! Well anyway, this one makes up for it, it’s a corker! For the first time ever I’ve managed to get both girls smiling at the same time! We’ve had a great week this week, topped off by the fact that Libby has finally decided it’s time to start using the potty. Hopefully I won’t have to buy any more cloth nappies, what we’ve got would be fine for just Lia with…

Our Thursday photo #6

This week has been somewhat traumatic for us all because Libby had her eye operation yesterday. Thankfully though it went incredibly well, her eyes are looking great and she is back to her usual self now. Even when she came round from her general anaesthetic, she was as placid and cheerful as ever. She only got upset at the hospital when she finished her yoghurt and realised there wasn’t any more. As this was lunchtime and she hadn’t eaten since the previous evening, I don’t blame her!  So here is Thursday photo #6, with Libby modelling her new, straight eyes!

Our Thursday photo #5

This week’s photo is of the girls enjoying the long awaited sunshine that seems to be gracing us with its presence! Yesterday was Libby’s birthday, so we left the bouncy castle up on the decking so that she could play on it again today. Of course, baby sister had to play on it with her too!  Lia has started smiling now but I suspect it will be a good few weeks before I can manage to catch a smile on camera! so for now I’m happy to have them looking pleased to be together.

Our Thursday Photo #4

We are finally arriving at that point with Lia where she goes through periods of being alert and looking around rather than just either feeding or sleeping. This makes life a little bit easier during the day, I am just about managing to keep going with Libby’s usual routine, just feeding Lia for a few minutes at a time and she is fitting in with what we’re doing. I’m finding the evenings really difficult, cooking tea whilst Lia screams and Libby tries to get my attention is difficult. Libby does help in the kitchen occasionally but it’s not always what…

Our Thursday Photo #3

Well Lia will be 3 weeks old on Saturday. This is hubby’s last full week off work and he and my dad have been working on our decking for most of the week, we’re hoping it will be finished by next Monday before he returns to work on Tuesday. This has meant that I’ve been coping with these two monsters by myself for most of the week. They have both been exceptionally well behaved, but it is still rather exhausting, particularly when I’m not getting much sleep. I can’t help but look forward to Lia getting a little bit older…
