Next December, can someone please remind me not to take on more stuff just because work is calming down? As a blogger, the end of the year is always relatively quiet. There’s the odd Christmas review or day out and subsequent write-up. There are emails to respond to and things to add to Christmas gift guides. Realistically though, most people are done for the year. So I could be winding down, relaxing and getting ongoing admin done. Instead, I’m moving furniture and attempting to redecorate. I’ll never learn. “I’m not interested in politics” When I was younger, I didn’t know…

Enchanted Witley: Review

Witley Court is a beautiful if somewhat eerie English Heritage property in Worcestershire. The building itself has been abandoned since 1937 when it was destroyed by fire. For selected dates in December, Christmas pays a visit to the court and gardens in the form of the Enchanted Witley illuminations. It’s that time of year again when time speeds up. We’re galloping towards Christmas at an alarming rate. There are presents to buy, performances to attend, festive press trips to go on and write up. Rosemood personalised photo books [AD]

Think back to the most memorable presents you’ve given or received. The chances are, they were deeply personal. Often, they involve photos. There’s nothing quite like a photo book for reliving happy memories. Yet these days, most of us are guilty of not printing off our photos. I am certainly a culprit. It has been in the media numerous times over the years that the children of today are the most photographed generation due to the convenience of phone cameras and digital snaps. Yet they risk growing up with no photos to look back on, because we don’t print them…

Ballet show outfits from Dance Gear

Libby and Lia have enjoyed being 2019 ambassadors for Dance Gear who make a range of beautiful ballet clothing. At this time of year, their ballet school always puts on a performance. The girls have done various classes at the ballet school over the years. Ballet, stage performance, rhythmic gymnastics and singing. This year, they’re both taking part with their ballet group and Lia will also be singing. Dance Gear kindly agreed to provide leotards for one of the ballet groups. We also bought Libby’s yellow leotard from them because she has recently moved up a group and we loved the…
