Our Thursday Photo #1

I took a lovely photo of our two girls together this morning and as it’s Lia’s first week, I thought it would be a nice thing to do every week to document them growing up together. So every Thursday, I intend to do a short blog post with a photo of the girls. This weeks photo was just taken sitting on the sofa straight after we’d got up this morning. Libby has been poorly the last few days so she’s not at her best, but she was delighted to be allowed to hold baby sister for a photo.  I really…

Introducing Baby Sister!

Well, after much anticipation, Libby’s new baby sister, Lia, finally put in an appearance yesterday, weighing in at a massive 9lbs 15oz, what a whopper!  Libby is delighted to have a baby sister and Lia has fitted right in. I took a little while to choose a company to lend to, because…

An interview with Rebecca Adlington

I was honoured to have the chance to interview Rebecca Adlington. At the time, she was launching her own swim school for children. We had a chat over the phone and I asked her all about her tips for building water confidence in children. She had some great ideas for how to help children to overcome fear of the water. We also talked about competitive swimming and how to keep young people interested in sport once their competitive swimming days were over. Rebecca Adlington’s views on the link between swimming and confidence Q1. Recent research has shown that swimming has…
