Dreams of a bathroom…

So, here we are in 2013. That means that it’s nearly 10 years since I first bought this house. I was 23 when I bought it. The house was too big for me on my own to be able to afford or renovate, and it needed some work doing. I’ve since moved out of the house but didn’t sell it, then moved back in here with my husband in February of last year. Now that we are living here as a family, it’s a fantastic place to be, ideal for the three of us with plenty of space and a…

So close but yet so far…

A few weeks ago, Libby took her first unaided steps. Only six or seven steps, but she did it quite a few times during the course of a week. Since then, we’ve had a few steps here or there but she really seems to have lost her confidence.  We do loads of walking practice every day (at her request). Bounce bounce bounce!

This morning as Libby and I were getting ready to take the dogs for a walk, my sisters called in and brought Libby a wonderful surprise… a bouncy castle! Pluto to the Palace

Last year during the pathetic washed out excuse for a British summer, some Japanese students came to stay with us. Keen to show them the best of the British countryside and culture, we headed for nearby Eastnor Castle. It wasn’t until we arrived that we realised that Eastnor allowed dogs not only into their grounds, but also into the Castle itself. Since that day, I’ve started to look online at wherever we want to go out for the day to see if they allow dogs. I’ve been so surprised at the places that do!  If you have a pet dog,…
