Classic Underwear & Loungewear From British Boxers [AD]
Advertorial Review Post
There is something incredibly luxurious about high quality underwear and loungewear. British Boxers is a small business based in Leek, Staffordshire producing beautiful undies and nightwear for men, women and children. We have all kitted ourselves out in British Boxers gear to check out the design and comfort of their garments.
About British Boxers
If you’re assuming that British Boxers was named in honour of the classic men’s underwear, you are making the same mistake as I did! In fact, the brand was named by its founder Deborah Price, in honour of her great, great grandfather who was the first ever World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Jem Mace.
The brand is based on British design, comfort and luxury and manufactured in the UK. They pride themselves on making nightwear, loungewear and underwear with the finest fabrics, classic tailoring and perfect seams.
Where will you find British Boxers? Like all the highest quality brands, British Boxers are available in Harrods, John Lewis, Joules and the finest independent department stores and lingerie shops. They also export worldwide and produce private-label creations for exclusive stores on Marlebone High Street, Kensington High Street and Jermyn Street in London. Their garments are also available on the British Boxers website.
Underwear From British Boxers
My husband and I have both been trying out the underwear from British Boxers. I absolutely love the fact that they send the garments in paper packaging, with no plastic in sight. My husband went for a multipack of 4 pairs of men’s bamboo stretch trunks with a hoopla design from the men’s stretch boxer shorts collection.
The multipack format allows consumers to save 50% when purchasing four pairs. The bamboo trunks are made from 95% premium bamboo and 5% elastane. They are supportive and feel great against the skin. My husband mentioned that they feel like silk to wear. These are washable up to 40 degrees, ideal for chucking straight in the washing machine.
I was also tempted by the bamboo briefs, choosing the four pack of bamboo hipster boxer briefs for women from their women’s boxer shorts collection. These shorts-style briefs have the same qualities as the men’s bamboo briefs and I can confirm they are incredibly comfortable.
I prefer to go for black underwear, since it’s easy to match without buying a specific matching bra. That’s why I’m really pleased that these briefs wash well, with the colour remaining true after many washes and never fading. The fit of these is perfect too, with an easy to follow size guide on the website.
Children’s Pyjamas
Whilst British Boxers predominantly make underwear, nightwear and loungewear for adults, they have a really sweet offering for children as well. This takes the form of some super cute pyjamas. My girls are not exactly besties – in fact, they have been known to fight like cat and dog. But despite this, they chose matching pjs which look absolutely adorable on them.
I was really surprised at the price of these pjs, which are absolutely incredibly quality and currently on sale at just £21.00 per pair. These brushed cotton kids’ pyjamas are warm, breathable and cosy. The fibres are brushed for extra softness, ideal for sleeping or wearing around the house.
They have a very traditional pyjama design, with a rounded-collar jacket and elasticated waist trousers for extra comfort. My girls wouldn’t admit it, but they loved twinning in their gorgeous Brushed Cotton Children’s Pyjama Sets in Rioja Herringbone.
Women’s Pyjamas from British Boxers
I was a little bit jealous of the girls’ pyjamas when they told me which ones they were going for, so I decided on a gorgeous pair of women’s crisp cotton short pyjamas in boat blue stripe from the women’s pyjamas collection.
The elasticated waist on these give them a really lovely fit, and their short trousers and shirt sleeves make them ideal for the warm nights we are experiencing at the moment. In fact, I must admit I’ve been changing into pjs far earlier than I would usually deem to be acceptable. After all, these look great as well as being super comfy – so if someone pops round in the evening and finds me in my pyjamas, I’ll be proud to wear them.
Another thing I love about these is that you can buy a matching dressing gown, nightdress, nightshirt and pyjama trousers. Ideal if you like to mix and match. Like the girls’ pjs, these look really smart with a rounded-collar shirt. These have a breast pocket and the shorts have pockets too, along with a tie-waist.
We are all super impressed with all of the British Boxers products. I love the fact that they are a UK-based small business, making high-quality garments that are both comfortable and stylish. We’re definite converts as a family, and this brand will be on all our Christmas lists in future.
