Level Up Your Style [AD]
AD – Gifted products
Do you prefer to buy stylish items that will last in terms of both fashion and durability? If so, you need to check out Cotton Traders. It’s my go-to online shop for clothing that I know I’m going to wear for several years. This season, they’ve challenged me to level up my style. My husband decided to get involved as well, so we’ve both chosen some items of clothing that are an upgrade on our usual style.
Straight Hem Jog Pants
As we both work from home, we tend to spend a lot of time wearing things that are very much chosen for comfort. For my husband, this usually means joggers and a hoodie. The problem is, when it comes to going out – even just nipping to the shop – he feels that he needs to get changed. So, levelling up his style for my husband meant getting a couple of pairs of joggers that he’d feel comfortable going out in, as well as staying in.
He liked the straight hem jog pants so much that he chose two pairs in different colours. They’re extremely comfy with a drawstring waist and made from jersey fabric that is rich in cotton. The inside of the trousers is brushed for warmth and softness and the relaxed fit makes them ideal lounge-wear. As well as the drawstring, the waist is elasticated, offering an ideal fit for all body shapes.

When it comes to popping to the shop, these trousers have a patch pocket on the back and twin pockets at the front for convenience. Of course, they’re machine washable too. Available colours are navy, pale grape, vintage plum and the black and dark steel that my husband went for.
Please note, I’d love to show you a photo without a husky in it, but when you’re this pretty, you have to be in ALLL the photos.
Longline Quilted Gilet for Women
I know it’s not for everyone, but at this time of year, I love to spend time outside. Whether that’s running, outdoor swimming, walking on the Malvern Hills or camper van adventures I find being outdoors makes me feel better. So, it’s safe to say that my style is predominantly several layers with a warm coat.
I’ve actually never owned at gilet before, and I have to say I was a bit sceptical. But I’m definitely a convert. With a couple of layers underneath and a good pair of gloves, a longline quilted gilet is the dream for keeping warm in wintry weather. This one is showerproof and made from padded quilting that’s lovely and warm. The knee-length fit looks great and there’s even a hood for extra cosiness.

The zip-through front is double-ended. This is ideal for me, because I’m usually wearing a belt around my waist that the dogs are attached to. So, I can slip a coat on over the top and unzip it from the bottom for the dog leads, whilst still keeping my core warm. There are zip-up pockets too, which are great for security – and plenty of space for dog bags!
I went for the navy colour, but it’s available in a lovely champagne colour too. I was very tempted by that one too, but I’m not excellent at keeping light coloured things clean so I decided to play it safe. The added bonus with this gilet is that I’ll probably wear it all year round, it will be ideal for popping on when there’s a chill in the air on a summer evening too.
