Avoncroft Museum of Old Buildings Review

As a child, I visited Avoncroft Museum of Old Buildings quite regularly, both with my parents and with the school. I remember being fascinated as to how the buildings had been taken from elsewhere and moved there, yet each one had been restored to perfection. Fast forward about 25 years, and I was looking around for somewhere to get married. None of the local venues had exactly what we wanted. We wanted to get married and have the reception in the same place. The wedding wasn’t really about the formalities, but more about having a big party with our friends,…

National Sea Life Centre: 20 year anniversary

We are huge fans of the National Sea Life Centre and we are blogger ambassadors for them in 2016. This year marks 20 years of the National Sea Life Centre, and this Tuesday (5th July) will be their 20th anniversary. The first 100 people to visit that day will be charged the original entry price of just £5.95. They will also receive a limited edition badge. And if…

Loch Leven and Loch of the Lowes

During our week staying at beautiful Blairmore Farm, I was determined to spend some time at Perthshire’s fabulous lochs. We decided to visit two very different lochs, both of which are near to Blairmore Farm and offer plenty to keep visitors busy. Perfect for Libby’s first time cycling without stabilisers on her bike. In the centre of…

Following that, we were invited to attend on Saturday to experience the Mister Maker event and be among the first people to watch their new film, Octonauts: Amazon Adventure 4D. As always, the girls were so excited to be going to the Sea Life Centre. Libby was particularly excited because Mr Maker and the Octonauts are two of her favourite television programmes. Lia isn’t quite old enough to be as engrossed in television as Libby, but she is always…

West Midlands Safari Park: Review

A few weeks ago, we decided to take the girls to the West Midlands Safari Park for the day. It’s something we’ve been meaning to do for a while now, since both girls often talk about the different animals they see in books. I’m not a huge fan of zoos as I don’t feel comfortable with the animals being in such small spaces, so I chose the safari park instead. The animals I’ve been to the West Midlands Safari Park a few times, and I’ve always been quite impressed with the fact that the animals had plenty of space. I’m not sure…
