A garden renovation project

For many years, our garden has been a source of frustration. It’s not huge, but there is plenty of space. The problem was, we weren’t making the most of it. For years, finances prevented us from redecorating. Living hand to mouth, every last penny went on food, the children’s activities or travel. Finding time for home improvements

Sixteen years ago, on my 23rd birthday, I moved into my own home. Never being one to do things by halves, it was a pretty busy day. I took the day off work for a job interview. Making best use of my time

Since booking Lia into preschool, I’ve been thinking about the extra time I’ll have from September. From Monday to Wednesday, I won’t have either of the girls for five hours a day. Much as I’ll miss them, I’ve been looking forward to taking on some extra work. But last week, I realised that work really couldn’t be my priority.
