A review of the brand new Brug – both a bag and a rug

I love going on days out with the girls, but in the Winter it can be a nightmare. You see if we go for a brilliant indoor day out somewhere like the National Sea Life Centre, it means taking coats. As soon as we get indoors the coats come off and I end up carrying them. So when I was offered the chance to review the Wunderlife Brug – a large bag that will fit in my handbag, I jumped at the chance. What makes the Brug different? There are lots of reusable bags around that pack down, but none…

How quickly things change as a mum to young children

This year will be only my third Mother’s Day as a mum of two. And yet it’s amazing how much things have changed in this short time. That’s why I was keen to get involved when Matalan asked me to recreate an old family photo. The original photo I chose to recreate this photo from a visit to the Tower of London Remembrance Day poppies. Lia was only about six months old and I carried her everywhere in a sling. I loved the little bear onesie she was wearing. With the hood up, it looked like I was just carrying a teddy bear…

What to do at Warwick Castle

This year we’re delighted to be ambassadors for the fabulous Warwick Castle. We headed there yesterday and realised we’d totally underestimated how much there was to do. It’s been a good few years since we went and there are many more attractions now. We didn’t arrive until nearly lunch time and the castle closes at 4pm in Winter so we didn’t manage to see everything we wanted to. If you’re a bit more organised and want to plan your visit, here’s a list of what to do at Warwick Castle including events. Head to their website for more information. Inside…

Earlier in the week, Lia and I decided to put her fabulous apron from Arty apple through its paces. There’s nothing better than chocolate to test out an apron and with Easter coming up we thought we’d make Easter egg nests. When I was browsing Pinterest, I found this healthy chocolate recipe from Eats Amazing. We decided we’d give this a go and make healthy Easter egg nests. And I have to say, it was a resounding success! Here’s the video of how we did it and the written recipe is below. Healthy Easter egg nests – Ingredients Coconut oil (100g) Cocoa…

Thursday photo #146

I can’t believe last week was half term, it seems like we’ve been back into the routine for ages. Not long enough to be organised though of course. We’re still at the point of running late every day and doing everything in a bit of a rush. Rounding off half term in style We made the most of the last couple of days of half term, heading to the National Sea Life Centre to check out their Snail and the Whale themed event. This combined one of the girls’ favourite places with their favourite book. After that we headed to Wagamama for lunch.…

Coping with baby feeding issues – reflux and constipation

Advertorial Feature. When I had Libby, I was shocked at how much I didn’t know about baby feeding issues. I remember the nights we spent listening to the Carpenters because my husband got it into his head that calming music would help her to nod off. And in my sleep deprived state I thought he might have a point. The cluster feeder After a few nights of that, I realised that Libby was a baby who just wanted to feed all night. I’d start feeding her at around 5pm and some nights she’d feed until 5am before having a good few solid…
