The Rocky Horror Show at Malvern Theatres: Review

The most successful, iconic rock ‘n’ roll musical ever is touring in 2019 and last night, it debuted at Malvern Theatres. As expected, audience participation and dancing was encouraged. The usual Rocky Horror show ingredients were all present and correct. Sci-fi, horror, comedy and music. All the classic songs brought the show to life, with a large dose of innuendo and humour thrown in. Of course, there were some wacky costumes on show too. The show Richard O’Brien’s legendary show first took to the stage back in 1973. An immediate hit, it has since been seen by millions in theatres…

Nozstock 2019 with children: Review

Every year, a farm in a remote part of rural Herefordshire is transformed. For one weekend, Nozstock, the Hidden Valley Festival takes over. Ten stages, hundreds of acts, a dedicated children’s zone, a cinema, food, shops and spaces to chill make this farm near Bromyard the place to be. Kettler Barcelona Air Go Kart Review

My children love everything on wheels. Bikes, scooters, cars and definitely a go-kart. So, they were delighted to put the Kettler Barcelona Air through its paces. Thursday photo #271

What a week. We’ve had a weekend break at Feather Down Fountain Violet Farm in Devon, the children have been in two stage shows. There’s been illness, awards, a birthday, a smack on the head and a lot of swimming. The last day of term can’t come soon enough for the girls who are absolutely exhausted. Personally though, I could do with a few more days of school. Just long enough to catch up on work and sleep before becoming a full-time children’s entertainer for six weeks. Stage shows and awards On Sunday, the girls took part in a stage…

A family Glamping holiday with Feather Down at Fountain Violet Farm

Last weekend, we had one of those short breaks that feels like a proper holiday. It was my first experience of glamping but it definitely won’t be the last. What a wonderful way to holiday. All the benefits of camping like being outdoors in the fresh air and that happy, tired feeling at the end of the day. Yet at the same time, you live in the lap of luxury. Comfy beds with snug, warm duvets. A toilet and hot shower, kitchen, dining table, wood burner and a sofa. Better still, Fountain Violet Farm is such an idyllic location that…
