Eggnogg monsters and ghosts giant colour-in poster review and giveaway
With the leaves starting to turn and pumpkins ripening, we’ve started thinking about Halloween. I was never really into Halloween as a child. I didn’t go trick or treating or carve out pumpkins so it just came and went. That’s why it surprised me that the girls absolutely love it. In fact, Libby talks about trick or treating all year although we only ever allow her to go to people we know. We usually do a few Halloween days out, but this year, I suppose things will be rather different. So, we’re looking for other Halloween based activities and this Eggnog monsters and ghosts giant colour-in poster is ideal. These posters only cost £10 but you can take a further 10% off using the code BLOGOFF at the checkout.
About Eggnogg
Eggnogg’s giant colouring posters were initially developed as table cloths. The inspiration came from a restaurant that brought out pens for children to colour on pieces of paper on the table. Seeing how her children coloured around the edges of the adverts made owner Kate realise the potential for huge tablecloths to colour in. Her designs feature illustrated characters that children just love to colour.
These days, Eggnog also sell postcards, bunting, cushions, bags, and dressing-up. They even have a colour-in caravan that they hire out for parties and events. The giant poster table-cloths are still a firm favourite among customers though, and I can see why.
Eggnogg monsters and ghosts giant colour-in poster
Eggnogg sent my girls one of their gorgeous monsters and ghosts giant colour-in posters. I can see why they would make a great tablecloth, they’re huge! My girls decided they wanted to colour on the floor though, which was equally fun. They loved being able to lie down and colour. It was also brilliant for them to share the same poster without arguments. It’s so big that there was plenty of space for them both.
Of course, the monsters and ghosts theme appealed to their fascination with Halloween too. In fact, the poster is so big that I’m sure they will still be doing it by the time Halloween comes round. It has been a lovely quiet activity for one of them to do while the other is doing homework or piano practice. They colour while watching television or instead of turning the television on. When they have had enough for one day, it easily folds up into a small book-sized folder, ready to be brought out again the next time they want it.
The paper is lovely and thick so there’s no danger of it ripping with them sitting on it to colour. The lines are wide too, so it’s nice and easy to stay neat, even for little ones. As well as a tablecloth, this can be used as a play mat or a poster – ideal for little ones who like to draw on the walls! When you’ve finished colouring, Eggnog suggest using it for wrapping paper. What a great idea.
