Things to do in Warwickshire February half term 2024
School holidays are approaching again, so it’s time to check out all the things to do in Warwickshire during February half term 2024. As half term isn’t quite such a big event as the Christmas holidays, many places announce their plans quite late. If your favourite attraction doesn’t have anything listed as yet, do get in touch with them to see what their plans are. If you’re on a budget, check out these free things to do in Warwickshire as well.
This post covers the Warwickshire area only. If you are looking for half term days out in nearby counties, please see below:
Baddesley Clinton
The family event at Baddesly Clinton for February half term 2024 only takes place on one date, so it’s worth booking in advance. Enjoy a family nature walk around the grounds, connecting with your body, breathing and the earth. There will be pauses for discussions and nature-themed activities and the walk will last for around an hour.
When and where: Thursday 15th February 2024, Baddesley Clinton, Warwickshire.
British Motor Museum Warwickshire
Explore the world of Enthralling Energy at the British Motor Museum this February half term. Take a look at the energy sources of the future and head to the lab for the Project Energise show, where you can see experiments to test alternative energy. The Energy Family Tour takes visitors around the museum to see different energy sources among the museum’s cars. Then, it’s time to build your own vehicle of the future in the Learning Hub. On the Fix It family trail, visitors can use parts from past, present and future to create a unique car. All activities are included in the admission price.

What’s on Warwickshire February half term 2024: Compton Verney
Something a little unusual is taking place at Compton Verney in Warwickshire for February half term 2024. They’re encouraging people to visit after dark! A spectacle of light and sound will lead visitors through the woodland and parkland on an illuminated walking trail. A colourful kaleidoscope, stunning light installations and light beams across the lake will wow visitors. Grab a hot chocolate to drink en route or pick up some street food from the vendors on site. Menus change each day so check what will be available when you intend to visit. Booking is essential and there will be no tickets on the door.

Enchanted Tea Room
I absolutely love the look of the Enchanted Tea Room and their events look fabulous, but I do find their website a little difficult to navigate. There is a school holidays tab within their February events page, but it’s empty. However, lots does seem to be going on during half term. Themes include:
- Afternoon tea with princesses
- Beauty and the Beast themed “Be Our Guest” afternoon tea
- Afternoon tea with the Snow Sisters
- Six themed afternoon tea
- Candy Man afternoon tea (looks to be Willy Wonka themed)
When and where: Various dates in February, the Enchanted Tea Room, Warwickshire.
Hatton Adventure World
Dick Whittington is on hand to entertain visitors to Hatton this February half term, for their annual pantomime. You can also enjoy animal handling, soft play, magic shows, farmyard favourites and a miniature funfair. Panto tickets cost an extra £3 on top of the admission cost when booked online.
When and Where: 10th to 18th February 2024, Hatton Adventure World, Warwickshire.
Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire
Be a half-term history maker at Kenilworth Castle this February. Historical characters are on hand to teach visitors about Medieval life. All activities are included in the price of an admission ticket.

Warwickshire February half term 2024: Mad Museum
Whilst there’s no particular event taking place at the MAD Museum for February half term 2024, this Warwickshire Museum is the only mechanical art venue in the UK and pre-booking will be essential. Visitors can interact with art, contraptions and machines, create marble runs on a giant wall and grab a free activity sheet to take part in a competition. Craft facilities are available so you can sketch exhibits as well as taking photos and videos. Little ones will love the sensory experience at the MAD museum with its sounds, colours, movement and flashing lights. Children will subtly learn about physics, maths and design as they look at interactive, eccentric and loud art.
When and where: 10th to 18th and 20th to 25th February 2024, Mad Museum.
Packwood House
Whilst there’s no specific February half term event taking place at Packwood House in Warwickshire, it’s always a great day out and worthy of a visit. Take a look at the Tudor house and stroll around the garden and lake. If you are feeling adventurous, there’s 150 acres of parkland to explore too. Facilities include a café and shop and dogs on leads are welcome. The grounds are partly accessible to wheelchairs with both a Tramper and wheelchairs available to hire. Hearing loops and brail guides are provided at Packwood too. Head to the Packwood website for further information about visiting.
