Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2023
School holidays are approaching again, so it’s time to check out all the things to do in Herefordshire during February half term 2023. Herefordshire has an abundance of beautiful National Trust properties, many of which put on events for children when schools have broken up. If you are a National Trust member, entry to those events will be free. If you’re on a budget, check out these free things to do in Herefordshire as well.

Berrington Hall National Trust
Berrington Hall is open every day during February half term from 18th February 2023 onwards. No events have been announced as yet, but on their website, you will find a list of things to see and do. This includes visiting the mansion and gardens, various trails to follow and suggested family activities. These include natural play areas and a dressing up station inside the mansion.
Brockhampton Estate National Trust
Whilst no half term events have been announced, Brockhampton National Trust will be open throughout half term from Saturday 18th February 2023. You will find a list of things to do on their website, including visiting the 14th Century Manor House. Other ideas include exploring 1700 acres of parkland and walking the orchard play trail looking for wooden sculptures. Natural play equipment is dotted around the orchard trail too.

Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2023: Courtyard Hereford
Courtyard Theatre has something a little unexpected on this February, since we would usually associate it with Christmas holidays. Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society will be putting on a show of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this February half term, from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 25th February 2023. Showings take place at 2pm and 7pm each day and tickets are available on the Courtyard website.
Croft Castle
Uncover the secrets of Croft Castle this February half term. No specific event has yet been announced but it will be fully open throughout the week, from 18th February 2023. Visitors can explore the house itself, take a stroll through the gardens or venture further afield to explore 1500 acres of parkland. Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2023: Goodrich Castle English Heritage
Goodrich Castle has not yet announced an event for February half term 2023, but they are open all week, from 18th February. This is a fascinating historical castle that offers visitors a free audio guide to hear about its eventful past. Children will enjoy the free family trail that features nine cartoon characters. Each one represents someone who would have lived at the castle. If you manage to climb to the top of the tower, you will enjoy views across the Wye Valley and both English and Welsh countryside.
