Thursday Photo #125
This week seems to have lasted for ages. Not in a bad way either, last Thursday just seems like a long time ago. We spent a lot of time outdoors at the weekend, planting our lovely vegetables from Rocket Gardens. It was so lovely to let the girls run around, burning off steam.
Our Week
Libby had her swimming lesson at the weekend which was a resounding success after the disaster of last week. At last week’s lesson, Libby had discovered that she could sit on the floor of the swimming pool. This was clearly the best thing ever and she spent virtually the whole lesson sitting on the pool floor. To the extent that the teacher who was covering the lesson thought she couldn’t swim.
It is safe to say that we weren’t sympathetic, understanding parents in that situation and Libby had a stern talking to from both of us. Luckily it worked and this week, she listened intently and proved that she could swim as well as any of the other children.
Lia is still getting to grips with Libby being at school every day, she’s a bit lost without her. On Tuesday we met some friends at soft play and it was brilliant to catch up with my friend and see her fabulous, smiley baby. Lia demonstrated that she actually can climb all around the soft play platform on her own without Libby helping her up. But she was a bit lost without her playmate.
I’ve had quite a bit of work on this week, but I’m at a point where I’m really enjoying the work I do. I have some nice freelance writing contracts, I’m loving my blog and everything is just falling into place. Long may it continue.
This weekend’s challenge…
On Saturday, I’m doing the Run Walk Crawl Gower Ultra 50 – a 50 mile foot race. Although I’m certainly not going to be racing. It’s a complete circumnavigation of the Gower coastal path in Wales on foot and I’ve got 16 1/2 hours to do it. Apparently some people have managed to walk it all in that time, so I’m hopeful that with a combination of running and walking I’ll make it round. I’ve even got some company for the run – and she’s raring to go! This week’s Thursday photo is from our gardening at the weekend. It’s something I want to do a bit more of as time goes on, there’s nothing better than fresh air and fresh vegetables.
