Children’s Books for Christmas

You will notice a conspicuous absence in this review, as my little partner in crime who normally helps me to review children’s books is not allowed to see them. When I was offered the opportunity to review a set of Campbell Christmas books, I jumped at the chance, because Libby had already got her old Christmas books out and was insisting on listening to Christmas songs. I thought these would be ideal for her to review, but then things took on a different slant. When we wrote our letter to Santa, Libby was very insistent that she wanted him to…

Letters from Santa

This year is quite a special Christmas for us, because it’s Lia’s first Christmas, and it’s the first time that Libby has been really interested in Christmas, Santa and what’s going to happen. Libby, in her usual manner, is blissfully unaware that it’s only October. She has dug out her Christmas books and we are reading them on repeat. Doddle for Dogs Review and Giveaway!

A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to review the Doddle for Dogs, a dog collar with an integrated lead. I thought this sounded quite convenient, so I said I’d give it a go. Hello School!

Libby was only two in June, but already we are starting to get concerned about her going to school. Our local school isn’t a place that I’d like to send her to, and getting into a different one is going to be difficult and may involve a house move. We will need to apply next year, and if we only get offered our local school I’ll home-school Libby until we manage to move to somewhere with a nice school. One of the best chances she’ll have of getting into a nice local school is if she goes to the nursery,…

Making the cut – a knife review

I have been lucky enough to review a few products from Ozeri over the past few months and I am learning a lot about quality. All of the products I have reviewed have been of a much higher quality than anything I would have bought myself. That’s why I was so delighted when I was asked to review a knife set, the Elite Chef Black Ceramic 3-Piece Knife Set. As you can imagine, I was even more delighted when they arrived and they were THIS shiny!  The knives and the blades are black, and yet they are shiny enough to…
