UK Family Food & Drink Deals This Week
AD – Family Food & Drink Deals Post includes some affiliate links
Last updated: 15th July 2026
Feeding a family is expensive, especially when it comes to school holidays. I find myself constantly searching for better deals on both eating out and general day-to-day meals, so I thought it was time to start sharing that research on here. Whether you’re grabbing lunch out, doing a supermarket shop, or just need a cheap meal after school pick-up, here are the best family food and drink deals available in the UK this week.
I’ll update this post every Monday, so feel free to check back regularly. Also, if there are any amazing deals that I’ve missed, please let me know and I’ll be happy to include them.
This Week’s Discounts for Eating Out (Restaurants)
Brewers Fayre

Ask Italian

Bella Italia
Offer: Kids eat free Sunday to Thursday
Details: Kids can have a free three course meal and a drink when an adult buys a main meal from Sunday to Thursday.
Dates: Currently available year-round.
Website: Bella Italia
Discounts on Restaurants Across the UK
Offer: I’ve recently discovered that if you go onto Wowcher and pick your location (using the pin next to the search bar at the top of the page), you can then filter the results by “price low to high”.
Details: Loads of restaurants share deals that make eating out significantly cheaper. For example, burger, fries and a drink for £7 in a London restaurant. If you look at the site without a filter, you’re going to see the more expensive ones at the top, so the price low to high filter is worth its weight in gold – quite literally.
Dates: Ongoing.
Website: Wowcher (this link is set to London, so make sure you change the location at the top of the page to wherever you want to eat out AND reset the filter.)
Café and Lunchtime Special Offers This Week
I’ve just done this one as a list because there’s no need to go to websites, it’s just a list of offers that are available in store. It’s worth checking this section again in the school holidays, because lots of cafés have really good offers including kids eat free when the children are off school. The below are all available all year round unless specified.
- Morrisons Café: Kids eat free daily with any adult meal over £5. No time restrictions. Currently, EVERYONE is entitled to a completely free breakfast at Morrisons cafés nationwide. Morrison’s have teamed up with Kellogg’s for this offer and it’s open to both adults and children until Sunday 6th September 2026. Just go to the café till and ask for a Kellogg’s breakfast.
- Tesco’s Cafe: Kids eat free – choose from Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast or Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix deal each time an item is bought by an adult costing from 60p. You need to show a Tesco Clubcard or Clubcard App at the till.
- Asda Cafe: Kids eat for £1 daily with any adult meal over £4. Includes a drink and dessert.
- Sainsbury’s Cafe: Kids eat free daily with any adult meal over £4.50. Nectar card required.
- Beefeater: Two kids eat breakfast free daily with any adult breakfast over £10.99. Good for a weekend treat.
- Dunelm Pausa Cafe: Free kids’ meal deal daily with any adult spend over £4. No loyalty card needed.
- IKEA: Kids’ meal for £1.50 daily with no minimum spend. Always reliable. Available from 11am daily.
- Quick tip: If you’re heading to Tesco, scan your Clubcard at the meal deal kiosk — holders sometimes get a free hot drink added automatically. It doesn’t always show on the shelf, but it works at the till.
Grocery Food & Drink Deals This Week
Oddbox
Offer: £10 off your first purchase for new customers.
Details: This is a refer-a-friend link that gives both the referrer and the new customer £10 off their next box when you use the link. This is only valid on boxes above £14. We use Oddbox every week because I love the fact that it helps to prevent food from going to landfill. I’ve posted my link below so you can get the discount, but bear in mind that this will also give me £10 off my next box, so if you have a friend or family member who uses it, ask for their link instead to help them out.
Dates: Not specified.
Website: Oddbox.
Abel and Cole
Offer: 50% off your first and fourth fruit and veg box: Use code VEGBOX26 at the checkout.
Details: This is another fruit and veg box – they also sell other bits and pieces as well. The minimum order is £12 and delivery is £3.50.
Dates: Not stated.
Website: Abel & Cole.
Too Good To Go
Offer: Typically £3-£5 for £10-£15 worth of food that would otherwise go to waste.
Details: This isn’t a time-specific offer, but if you’re looking for discounted food and you’re not too fussy on exactly what you have, this is a great way to find reduced-price food. It also saves food from landfill, which is brilliant. Grab the app on Apple or Android and sign up. You’ll need to tell them where you’re based, and you’ll be able to see all the offers near you. Supermarkets, grocery stores, cafes and restaurants all participate. Some of the popular ones sell out quickly though, so it’s worth setting a daily reminder on your phone.
Dates: Ongoing
Website: Too Good to Go.
Tesco
Offer: Free fruit for kids when shopping in store.
Details: Kids can pick up a free apple at the checkout.
Dates: Throughout summer holidays.
Website: Tesco.
Sainsbury’s
Offer: Pizza meal deal – 2 pizzas, a side, and a dip for £10 with Nectar. Serves four, so £2.50 per person. This is a great alternative to a takeaway for pizza-loving kids!
Details: This is an offer that’s available in store but it does state on the website that not all stores will run the offer, so it’s worth checking. You’ll need to get qualifying products and use your nectar card at the checkout to get the offer.
Dates: This one looks to be available until 19 April 2027.
Website: Sainsbury’s.
Lidl
Offer: Cheap fruit and veg.
Details: Lidl offer a 5kg Too Good To Waste box for £1.50. I noticed on Katy Kicker’s Facebook Page (which is a great place to find money advice), that these boxes are often placed AFTER the checkout – so it’s worth remembering to grab one when you go in.
Dates: The Too Good to Go box is ongoing.
Website: Lidl.
Ocado
Offer: 25% Off Your First Shop and three months of free delivery.
Details: This offer is for new customers only, and you’ll need to use the code 25OCADO at the checkout. The minimum spend is £60 and the maximum discount is £20.
Dates: Valid until 19th December 2026.
Website: Ocado.
UK Family Food & Drink Deals – Worth Knowing
Great British Summer Savings: Starts 25th June 2026
From 25th June to 1st September 2026, the government is cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on:
- Children’s meals in restaurants, cafes, and pubs
- Children’s tickets for cinemas, theatres, concerts, and shows
- Tickets for everyone at days out and attractions like soft play centres, adventure centres, theme parks, museums, and zoos
That means kids’ meals should get noticeably cheaper at any restaurant that passes the saving on, and family days out will cost less too. The scheme is designed to cover the school summer holidays across the whole UK.
Not every business will pass the full saving on, so it’s worth checking menus and ticket prices after 25th June. But if a restaurant was charging £6 for a kids’ meal, you’d expect it to drop to roughly £5.25. Not a massive saving, but it adds up over the summer.
