The trauma of Summer holidays is often the elephant in the room among parents. We all love seeing more of our little treasures because we don’t get the best of them in term time. And yet, it’s tough entertaining children who threaten to lurch into boredom at any moment. We need to be on top of our game. All the time. For six whole weeks.
Reenergising with Berocca
Berocca is the #1 energy vitamin in the UK. It contains eight B vitamins including B1 and B2. The B vitamins in Berocca help to release the body’s natural energy. This is a godsend on long days out when I need to feel energised all day.
This week has been a fairly typical one for us. In five days we visited two National Trust properties, five parks, a pub garden, a supermarket that we had to walk out of, a theme park and a walled garden. Honestly, I feel exhausted just thinking about it. And on top of that, I’ve been having to fit in work in my ‘spare’ time.
To fit it all in, I had to go against my night-owl tendencies and get up early to walk the dogs and work. A quick drink of Berocca with breakfast has stopped me reaching for the chocolate by mid-morning. I’ve even managed without trying to sneak off for a nap!
Feeling like you but on a really good day
I am fully aware of the way my mood rubs off on the children. As soon as I get grumpy, the girls start to play up. Berocca is designed to make you feel ‘like you but on a really good day’. I totally get this. If my energy reserves start to run low, we tend to enter a downward spiral. So using Berocca to keep me going makes sure that we all have a really good day.
For me, it’s all about forming good habits. Eating a good breakfast, getting up early and starting the day with Berocca. As well as keeping me going physically, Berocca is proven to help support mental performance. Whilst I get some work done in the mornings, I need to work in the evening as well. By then, there’s the potential to be exhausted and not on top form. Anything that can keep me alert enough to earn some money during the summer is a winner in my book!
